This is a bit farfetched, but does anyone know how I could get my hands on the August edition of the magazine BARFOUT (a japanese music related magazine) because it has an interview with Hirasawa and Hiro from POLYSICS and I really really wannnnnt it. Even just the interview posted here would be fine actually X_x. At least here I could pass it through a translating program.

I don't necessarily want the thread to die after the lack of answers to this XD so I made the title a bit more broad. ;). I know there are some hirasawa fans on the forum, one of our moderators probably being one of the persons who owns most stuff in the wooooorld related to the artist XD so yeah. I think we must have that thread!

Also, we're not supposed to post Youtube links, but I haven't been able to find information on the song at this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQdjCqxGhEY and I'd like to know more about it. If it's unacceptable, please remove that whole paragraph XD yeah. That's about it :B

I've tried to get into his music because usually I have faith in flowers' musical taste. Though, as much as I want to like him, I find most of him music dull. :| <shield>

No way! Did you try out the Paranoia Agent soundtrack? That has my favorite songs. The rest seem kind of plain to me, but still listenable. Definitely check it out if you haven't.

Well I guess I'm a 'new' fan because I've been receiving songs and things of Hirasawa's from people and I really like them ::squee::

Some of them give me a nostalgic feeling ^^;

And I took pics of the actual hotel from his "Haldyn Hotel" song when I was in Peru ::meev::

Hirasawa's one of those artists that I'd love to get into, given that I love the handful of tunes I have and listen to, but his back catalog is far too obscure and numerous to even begin.

I'd recommend starting at the beginning of his solo career with the "jikuu no mizu" and "science no yuurei" albums, which are two of his finest. The stuff I post here is usually the more "difficult" and obscure stuff since most of his work is still in-print.

As for his work with P-MODEL, I'm still kind of undecided as to what the key albums are, but their first one "IN A MODEL ROOM" is definitely one of them. I'm finding their stuff considerably more uneven.

Bumping the Hirasawa thread because a new live album was announced! (from the PHONON2550 live)

http://noroom.susumuhirasawa.com/module ... toryid=109
To be released on 4/23. It includes performances of songs he hasn't done in years, such as "arashi no umi", "shi no nai otoko", "QUIT", and "Haldyn Hotel" ::squee:: ::squee:: ::squee::

*ahem* That is all.

I don't remember where the first one is from but I'm dying just from "QUIT" and "Haldyn Hotel" ::weepy:: ::squee::

EDIT IN PREVIEW: Ooooooooooooh.... 嵐の海 is "stormy sea" in Virtual Rabbits. :P
Stupid translated tracklists. I should fix all of these.
This reminds me, I got from questionable sources *cough*torrents*cough* Hirasawa's new album and I still haven't listened yet(Although I HAVE heard super awesome CODE COSTA-RICA XDDDDDDDD).

Anyways, yeah. I can't wait. X3

OMG!!! He went to Pride on Bangkok?! How much more awesome can that man possibly be?!

So like, I tried googling "Bangkok Pride" and found a gallery with pictures of THE 2004 PRIDE! :O XDD
and there are TWO in common!
One being the float of the Bar & Restaurant TELEPHONE! :O I'd say its a big coincidence but from the review, the parade was rather small so I assume people took pictures of the same things over & over on the internet. ::kaya::

isn't that craaazy? :D

Its GIRLS, without quotation marks, mister. :P::cop::
I think the comment under the center top picture is WAY adorable and touching on his part. Specially since he's calling them "otome." XDD ::squee:: ::squee:: ::squee::

Also, that Namkin girl is ALL SORTS of crazy gorgeous. OOO__Ooo
I think its illegal to be so pretty! XD

I'm not sure all of them are girls though XD "Ran" on the left side of the first page looks like a man.
Oh and I'm not sure but I think "Wai" on the right side of the second page was the flamingly gay guy from the "SIM CITY" live ::meev::
