I mean there was kind of rust on the right most part.
...
Also the white one, is not really white anymore.
... Do you think maybe Mana makes new guitar models every couple years because he has to? :|
Paging @CrystalAmmunition to the thread for an owner's report!

EDIT: and the white guitar's discoloration might just be because apart from Mana himself, the Japanese all smoke like chimneys ::ash::

I've owned mine since ~March 2016 and it is still in an excellent state (apart from an unfortunate slight chip), I've changed the strings once and even without playing for a few days they still stay in tune. Granted I only have the Edwards one so I can't speak as to the quality of the other models.

I don't know how the others are being stored, but I keep mine on a guitar stand it is fine.

Also, if you're talking about a model that was on display, that one might have been on display since it was first unveiled and who knows what happened to it over that time. :P

That said, I did see a JF-X Edwards on Yahoo! Auctions a while ago that was rusted to hell.

Thanks for your answers :) Well, will see how many I can save at first (it will be a nice souvenir from Japan at least B-).
I guess they didn't store very carefully (the bloody one missed the button xD, gips has some black fingerprint and other have few scratch so...).

Guitars do need care, both for the metal and wood. The white jeune at ESP is normally in their museum in a case so it's probably been there for a while. It's possible the shellac over the paint may have discolored due to age since that does happen. Don't know about the other guitars, if they are ones Mana brought over or ones stored at ESP but if they aren't getting played regularly they might not be getting as much care.

Rust happens if there is a lot of humidity which is Japan in the summer. There are those packets and even crystals you can buy, Damp Rid, which will help with humidity problems around items like guitars but have to make sure the wood doesn't dry out.

Keep in mind the Edwards doesn't have a hard case so transporting it home might be an issue.

Oh yes I remember this... I still have time to choose between ESP JF X and Edwards (I really want this cross ray lighting xD). But, thank you for your advice :)

I confirm too much humidity (it's really inconfortable for me... not used to that xD).

If you can speak enough Japanese or bring a translator with you to ESP, they will explain the materials in the guitars, how they are made and information about the care of them.

Well I don't speak japanese that much but I could ask to my friends ^^ That's a really good idea (I don't know why I didn't think about that xD). Thanks :)
