Since I noticed a lot of threads seemed to be made about the new GLB scans, new moitie or whatever else I thought it would just be better to create a general discussion about new releases, scans etc. so new threads aren't popping up everywhere.

Also, the Moitie Xmas special items are available for pre-order on CDJapan (2 Dresses, 2 Head bands and 2 Coats (1 male))

What is this I don't even
This too

I'm not digging the Xmas stuff. The dresses would look nicer without that big black cross splashed across the chest. I think that could have been better executed. Otherwise, I like the red. They should use that color more often.

Thanks Manneking creating this thread!
About the X'mas items, I'm realing disappointed about the dresses, the bottom is beautiful but this huge cross isn't really elegant, and the fabric seems weird ::kisaki::
The headdresses are awesome and the jacket is perfect!

I like this threat as well^^
Hmm... I dislike the sleeves, the cross is ok for me XDDD
More or less I like the dress, but wouldn't pay that much for it...

The headdresses are cool and the EGA jacket also awesome *__*

The items look awesome overall, but I'm not liking the huge black cross on the dress so much, but I love the blue headdress! * *

But like all Moi-Meme-Moitie items, they all are too expensive for me. :'3

I liked the Christmas coat. I regret I got a Christmas Coat last year already because they are even nicer this year.

I don`t know what to say about MmM currently, I have the feeling the prices increased a little bit. That would be no problem but I also have the feeling that the stock got a bit lower aswell.
That`s kinda frustrating seeing as the Irongate Print was quite a long time available even on CDJapan (at least as far as I remember because I bought my Irongate easily at CDJ), the new Chuchrgate Print on the other hand was sold out in one second and well I don`t know if it ever will show up on CDJ. I know I have seen it in Closet Child Shinjuku and was aslmost twice as expensive as the original price. So I don`t get what happened there.

I love some of the new designs but there are alsop often designs I don`t digg recently :(

Wasn't there a similar looking gargoyle in the very first Moitie shop? I think I remember seeing one in a magazine scan. Perhaps the gargoyle on that necklace is based on it.

My favourite of the Xmas item is the headdress, especially in blue. I also like the EGA jacket and dresses, but I would prefer if the dark material of the sleeves was also used on the bodice, so the dress then only had a light coloured panel at the front with the black cross on and a light coloured skirt. I'd still buy the blue dress in its current design though, but sadly (or fortunately for MmM) it is already sold out.

All in all I really love the collections this year and I don't think the prices have increased, except perhaps for the coats. I saw a vintage Moitie dress on MBOK or Y!Japan a couple of months ago that still had the original price tag attached and it was something like 45,000 yen.

I'm no expert, but could it just be demand? I browse egl_sales and that style print is in HUGE demand. Knockoffs get bought in a second and authentic items go for insane amounts of money, even if they are used. So that new editions of similar print would sell out fast is no surprise to me.

When I was in Tokyo last December, Closet Child had flyers offering to pay record prices for Moitie's iron gate and gothic arch print and the bat handbag. They were the only gothic lolita items they were actively looking for, all the other flyers were for sweet lolita. And earlier this year a white iron gate JSK sold on MBOK for 85,000 yen. Perhaps Mana should make more such prints, or produce more pieces per print, then he could make a lot of money.

I'm sur i'm not the only one who doesn't want to bother with shopping service and fees... even for a dress i really want to have.

Obviously it depends on which country you live in, but because of the customs charges using a shopping service (who will mark down the value of the parcel if requested) actually works out the same or cheaper for me than CDJ or MARUIONE (who will not).

85000? Whoa. The most I've seen (in the west) is in the $600 range.

I would not be surprised if second-hand sellers actually bought the new prints "in bulk", to keep and sell later at inflated prices.

Yeah, there have been instances where that seemed to be the case. New prints that sell out within hours of hitting the website resurface only days later at a higher price in second hand shops or on Japanese auction sites. Usually the currently super popular Angelic Pretty, but I also saw some Moitie stuff this summer.

I'm no market analyst, but doesn't that mean Mana should increase his prices?

I'm not sure because these more expensive dresses often sell more slowly. I think it would be safer to just produce more dresses per print so they don't sell out so fast and then he gets the money, not the scalpers.

It would be nice if CD Japan and the Rakuten site were connected somehow, so overseas buyers could have a shot at the more popular stuff. It's annoying that we only get leftovers after the reserve periods end.
Angelic Pretty does that too with their international site. They put up one of each item, at like 3am my time, which is stupid. So scalpers stay up all night waiting and then buy out everything and sell all the next day. It's ridiculous.
Baby and Metamorphose are the only webshops with truly good international service. They allow everyone to reserve items, and don't use some stupid external shipping service that takes two months.

I really wonder why they dont increase the amount of clothes then. Maybe they worry they got stuck on too much clothes? We still don`t know how well the sales go in Japan but I don`t think it`s too bad.

But on the other hand, maybe it`s some sort of weird marketing like AP their Prints are wanted as hell and still everything is sold out in one minute. Why no more stock? I am sure AP could afford it.

I wish Moitie did reserves for their regular stuff as well, like Victorian Maiden, AP and Innocent World, not just for coats and Xmas items. And yeah, accept international reserves on Rakuten or have them go online at CDJ at the same time as Rakuten so international buyers have a chance to get them.

Having everything on one website wouldn't necessarily solve the problem though. I ordered some socks from Innocent World where you order from the Japanese website with a special order form. They took a week to get back to me, by which time the socks were sold out, and offered me a replacement that was totally different in style and colour.
