I think Mana doesn't want to change because; he doesn't want to. He could alter his styles, release a million albums, and cater to trends to increase funds but he stays relatively true to himself and what he wants. Signs of him aging or times changing is pretty depressing, though. I don't know, I don't really wear gothic fashion but his music will live on forever yay. I hope his new album is filled with all his sadness and malice and sounds amazing.

Yeah, I agree with you Moizer. Also I think the world Mana has created is very unique and his own, changing that would ruin what we fans love him for. SO changing might get him new fans but it would probably make older fans go away.
I also have to say the photos of him in GLOL bible do look weird, heavily photoshoped, and I don't really see why because he looks really good despite his age IRL.

I don't think anyone is saying he should change or release millions of albums. But if you haven't released anything in 6 years and aren't doing other things it's unsurprising if you fail to be relevant to something like a magazine, which is designed to keep with current trends.

I think that if he had stayed with his designs and was keeping active, in the way he used to, the magazine wouldn't care. After receiving the response of "2010" as the last time he released something I'm actually surprised they had him on for that long.

well also it is a magazine targeting girl 25 and under.
I somehow feel like it's kinda weirdly pererted to have a man in his mid 40's as a model when most of them don't know who he is.
Like, to put a man in his mid 40's in a position that central to young girls in any country, in a fashion that, while not sexualized, still does use lolita in its name and is aware of what lolita stands for in the traditional sense is...eh.
But in Japan it's got its own special brand of wait a minute.

Not sure where to put this, but it's Mana related and I thought it was funny.

Apparently some Japanese fans think we foreigners keep the sama after his name because we hear Japanese people saying it, so we say it too.
But we have no idea what it means or why we do it.
Isn't that crazy beans? Oh, sorry. Crazy beanssama?

I bet some foreigners don't understand the word, but at the same time I remember when I first got into Malice Mizer and Mana it was explained on like every webpage there was so most likely all fans know the meaning of sama... I never use sama though, I usually just say Mana unless I want to make a fun statement XD And IRL I don't think I've ever used sama in spoken japanese, just in written when doing e-mail interviews with bands XD

Same. But maybe I will use it now, after every sentencesama.
It'll be like my dattebayo.

Everyone, if any Japanese people ever ask about the Manasama thing, please just say you have no idea what it means and you say it cause Japanese people do.
It'll be amusing.

Haha yeah, those angry, elitist bitches would probably kill me just by looking at me if I'd say that  Worth a try maybe though, just for the laughs.

LOL - Mana's publishing a collection of all his Game Lab columns (plus additional commentary or wtvr):
http://manamonologue.blog16.fc2.com/blog-entry-565.html
And adding "Game Hardware Collector & Game Commentator" to his ever-growing list of titles ::meev::

In case anyone doesn't already know, Mana's taste in video games is really contemptible XD Buy at your own risk!

Towards the very end Mana started playing with the audience by walking to the edge of the stage and allowing everyone to touch him. It was kind of strange, but I noticed some girl kept stroking one of his hands and then tried to slide her hand up his sleeve.(;゚∀゚)
Then other girls were sitting there pulling at and playing with his fingers
I just want to point out that these "girls" are very likely grown women who are far too old for this kind of thing by now XD Come on, people ::meev::

It seems like Mana's done with writing new songs for the moment. When's the album coming? ::cop::

I just want to point out that some of them could be grown men too.
