So i wrote a bit of a report on a plane :D
I am not a native English speaker and i did not try to make it perfect but at least you can get a basic idea what the event was like!

The event started around 1pm with Mana’s welcome and Q&A. Everyone got really excited to meet Mana and i could feel the tension in the air! The feeling seeing Mana coming on stage was just amazing! I must say, he looked very fragile and small to me even though he was wearing his platforms. He had his hair up and was wearing and EGA outfit. He made a bow and sat down for the Q&A. Then the host announced Kamijo is going to help Mana with telling his answers out loud and everyone got really excited about it. Everyone literally went crazy because no one thought Kamijo would come to the event as well.

I do not remember much what Mana was asked about during Q&A since i was way too excited to see him for the first time. Also, photos were not allowed so unfortunately i do not have any pictures of Mana but i have a few photos of other things at the event. It was not a big venue and also Mana did not come from the backstage but instead he walked through the whole venue and then on stage so those who wanted, could see him from very close. So, i got into the spot where he would walk past me when going off the stage and i got a chance to see him from very close and he even looked at me!

During the event he was walking around quite a lot but he did not acknowledge anyone or took photos with anyone and he had three people with him all the time. One of them was translator for him and there also was a security guy i guess. I do not think he really needed security though since everyone was so well behaved and everyone just let him be. Noone approached him or tried to get into his way and i was really surprised about it. His fans were very well behaved!

So, as i have said, i do not remember much from Q&A, i just remember Mana “said” he would love to tour in Europe if he ever gets a chance. They did not announce any new Moitie releases and i was a bit upset about that! Also, Mana said he loves Greece and would love to visit there someday and also that he does not like animals but he would love to watch aquarium fish.

We had another funny Mana quiz where he was asked a few things and he drawed the answers. It seemed he had so much fun with it. Here are some answers: his favourite season is summer and his favourite bird is an airplane. His favourite country is Japan. His favourite flowers are cherry blossoms. I do not remember much more though.

There also was a Moitie fashion show and since i know a few girls who did modeling, they said they met Mana backstage and he was actually talking. He did not wear make up but had sunglasses on and his hair down. They said he looked good for his age.

The fashion show was really nice, they showed all the newest releases and we were able to purchase the actual dresses worn during he fashion show. Since i am a huge Moitie fan i have to admit my friend and me were camping at the Moitie booth for around an hour or more. We were just on time for the actual event and all the nicest Moitie pieces had been gone by that time. so, we decided to camp for the fashion show items. I wanted to get neo gothic arch op but as soon as the fashion show items arrived one girl just literally grabbed the dress from my hands. I was really angry! I bought neo gothic arch jsk in navy but later swaped with my friend for a black one. I also got short version of black cross OP.

The prices were quite good since we did not have to pay for shipping and tax. So many people wanted the new bat bags that there was a lottery where they picked people who would be allowed to buy the bag. Yes, you had to win a lottery to be able to buy a bag!!!

The most popular pieces such as neo gothic arch in black were sold out very quickly so i guess the event had a huge success!
There were other brands booths as well and indie designers fashion show but i will not get too much into that.

Now lets talk about the actual meet and greet Mana! So, the VIP tickets were sold out in seconds and even though i tried to get them, they fell out off my cart and i missed them back in spring. And so did many people. However, we still had a chance to meet Mana since everyone who went to the main event joined the raffle. When we were entering the venue, every person got a badge. Those, who chose the white one, got to meet Mana. I got a black one however my friend got a white one and since she was not such a big fan, she gave it away to me. I will be thankful to her forever <3.

So, the meet and greet session was one floor down from the main venue. First, VIP guests met Mana and they also received a rose and autographed photo from him. Many people were very excited and i was really nervous too. It was my first time meeting him! I let a few girls go first because i could not keep myself together. One girl broke into tears after meeting him.

So, my turn came. People who were helping him/ security first asked me if i was okay. I said yes in an obviously shaky voice. Then they let me into the room. The room was very simple and there were not any special decorations or anything. I was expecting it to be like those meet and greet events in Japan with roses and nice light everywhere but it was not anything like that. So when i entered Mana was sitting but he stood up to greet me and shake my hand. He had a translator and since i wanted to say a few things she started translating it to him. Now, the most embarrassing thing... I realised i started talking to the translator and not Mana!! I guess he thought what a rude fan i was. So, while i said a couple of things, he sat down to sign the photo and then stood up, handed it to me and gave a long handshake. I felt to weird by looking at him. When you adore someone for so long and then just see him right in front of you it is so amazing! i said i was so happy to meet him, i was a fan since 2006, wished him luck and asked if Moitie could release more prints. I actually asked if i could hug him but they said no. I was a bit sad about it but oh well... i guess i would be judged by some people by asking him to do that but i am this kind of a person who does not really care how much famous or legendary someone is since we all are human beings. So, after a long handshake and looking into the eyes i left. I felt very confused, happy and sad at the same time. It is just so hard to explain the feeling!

After the meet and greet everyone came back to the main venue and the best coord of the day was announced. There was a competition in Aliceholic but i did not join it since i do not have many followers and would not win it anyway. Also, Mana chose his favourite coord of the day and he made such an amazing choice! The girl who won it totally deserved it and i actually had told her before that she must win. She was wearing Iron gate and her coordinate was put together really well. And she was the sweetest person i had ever met!! <3

After the best coordinates of the day were announced, Mana entered the stage one more time to say goodbye. Everyone looked really excited and i believe the event had a huge success. I met so many amazing people and can not wait for the future events!

Also, some details from other girls:

Mana stayed at the hotel near the venue of the event, he left Finland on Monday afternoon. Also, it is very possible he came to the afterparty on Sunday but was staying in a separate place in the venue. Later in the evening balconies were closed and people reported seeing him upstairs. I can not guarantee it but thats what people are claiming.

Mana mentioned on Twitter he was wearing a new shirt for the fashion show, so that means something new for the ega line finally. Did you get to see it?

He also posted a photo on Twitter of a drink that the afterparty and said he was up on the second floor.

Thanks for your report, it was good to read. And dang people being so greedy they grab clothing out of other people's hands.

Thank you!
Yes, Mana was wearing a new shirt for ega line but i did not notice it at that time. He looked good as always and to be honest i thought it was an old collection shirt.

We were on the second floor during afterparty as well but part of the balcony was closed so I suppose that is where he could be. Or maybe he came later after i left. Around 11:30 pm there were like ten people dancing downstairs and Mana stayed in the balcony but no one knew it. The venue got closed at 12 and the last girls who left the venue did see him in the balcony. I am not sure how but it was like for one second or so anyway!

We had a cocktail called “Mana” and that is what he was drinking!

Hi, in case anyone is interested, I feel like I want to report something too (but I am so bad at reports...). Thank you for writing your report, Astral Romance! I am happy to read reports by other attendees, since I was modeling and couldn't attend any of Mana's stage appearances besides the fashion show. That was a bit disappointing, but I could have figured. There was a lot to do: attend the model fitting on Friday evening, attend the rehearsal on Saturday morning, get our hair and makeup ready at lunchtime, as soon as we were dressed we were supposed to "hide" in the dressing room until the fashion show so we couldn't really see the Q&A, and then afterwards get changed and hand back the dresses. By that time it was almost late enough to go queue for the Meet and Greet. After the Meet and Greet I also had to miss Mana's good-bye stage appearance, because I left early to queue for Kamijo's Meet and Greet at the concert venue. They were scheduled a little too tightly.

Of course I enjoyed it a lot. I felt honoured to participate, not only because I admire Mana's music so much, but also because I have loved Moitie for an age. Moitie staff was so hard working and very friendly and helpful. They had to, among other things, plan our outfits, hand them out to us, instruct us on the choreography, translate for Mana, translate for Mana on stage at the Q&A, sell stuff at the Moitie booth, take some official photos, and translate at the Meet and Greet. Hats off to the lady who did all this, you are my hero. She had already been so helpful for us foreign peeps with raffle tickets at the Malice Mizer live the week before. It must have been taxing on Mana as well, and I also think he wasn't being rude, he was just being distant, maybe tired. It also might have been a bit much to stand in a room full of more than 20 foreign women who are trying to get ready in front of small mirrors. I think it went very well though, it all felt like it went over very professionally. Mana didnt talk to us and we left him be. But it felt like a huge honour to witness him up close like that, and to sort of get the opportunity to work with him on this part of the Hellocon show.

He thanked the lady who held his mirror one time saying "Kiitos", which was nice to hear. It was a bit funny to nod my head to MdM songs in the dressing room while he was standing behind me, too.

I had the hardest time not to show too much excitement when Kamijo suddenly appeared in our dressing room (you had to go through there to walk onto the stage unseen, so Mana and Kamijo were both there a couple of times for access). Kamijo seemed a bit less reserved, but of course we also left him be. Also kudos to the management, somehow Mana and Kamijo were never in our dressing room when we were changing in there/not wearing clothes, so they did that very well.

The Meet and Greet itself was held in a smaller room one floor down, a translator was there with him (the Moitie lady who seemed to manage everything), and you were allowed to say something/ask questions. I was not prepared, I thought we would only get handed our rose, maybe a nod and 2 seconds with Mana and that would be it. But instead we were sent into the room one by one, and took quite more time than that. Mana first shook my hand (quite long actually) and looked into my eyes (I was too shy to reciprocate), and then they asked whether I brought something to sign (I didn't, and I regret it, I should have brought my Malice Mizer pamphlet from the live last week or an old CD or something, that would have been amazing to get signed), so I got an autographed card instead. The card is quite big and very nice, so I am happy with that as well, it lends itself nicely to being framed and hung on a wall. He took the time to sign it and hand me a rose from the big bouquet that had been prepared. It was still over quickly, also since I didn't know what to say to him and I was nervous, so I just thanked him and left. But I appreciate how much time he gave each of us, shaking our hands and bowing, it felt very significant.

(Tbh I am also not sure whether Mana's shirt was new or not, I also figured it was an older one. His vest he was wearing was also from an older collection. Sadly, the new collection doesn't really feature any EGA.)

i am really glad you had such a nice experience at the event!
my friend was modelling as well and also some other girls i met later at the tea party.
i figured out everyone had very positive feelings about Moi meme Moitie fashion show and the whole event, however many people had very mixed feelings about Mana.
I had quite a long talk with one Lolita who went to meet and greet and she felt very confused after it, she said she even cried once she got back to the hotel, because it felt like Mana was really cold towards her . She is actually planning to write to Moitie / wunderwelt or similar place complaining about how Mana treated some of the fans.
it is like, he bowed, he gave the autograph but he seemed to be so done with everything, this made a very very bad impact on quite a lot of fans, especially those who were meeting him for the first time. i am still happy i met him, but i feel i am not the only one who feels disappointed about him.
I do feel disappointed because after being a fan for 12 years and spending half of my savings on Moitie dresses that day, he refused to give me a hug. and yes, i told him i was a fan for 12 years and saw him for the first time.

all other staff people were really amazing and helpful though!

"Would it have killed him to smile a bit?"

::mana::

Really I don't know what people are expecting from an in-character appearance by the Lord of Darkness. Isn't he supposed to be dour and silent? If I got Friendly Mana I'd almost feel ripped off.

When I met him in Seattle, no strange wheezing sounds. And not a 100% stone face or dour either.

I will say that for most people, we automatically look for facial expressions. It's how our minds determine factors as to how the other person might perceive us, going way back to when we needed to know if a person was a friend or foe. It often doesn't even register that we are doing this. When Mana keeps his face still in meet-ups, it causes a little anxiety because our minds don't know how to interpret this.

Just wanted to pop into the conversation to give a big 'thank you' to you for posting reports of the event, especially the Meet and Greet.
Unfortunately I couldn't make it to Finland just for the day, but it's nice to read about your experiences.

i understand that, but there are more things than just facial expression. you can have you face covered up completely and still be the nicest person on earth.

When I went for the meet and greet at ESP last year he made a funny face, as if wanting to hold back a smile/laugh, and I almost felt a bit disapointed XD I mean I expect the man to hold a stone face.

No! That's the thing. Unless he found me looking weird...since I was not in Lolita/aristocrat fashion....I wore the pride of my homeland....H&M

I sneaked through the folded wall on him Before the actual signing began and he looked very nervous though.
