The DVD is expensive even for Japanese fans, I've read a lot of complaints on twitter, and for the fact is not even a blu-ray. Whatever, I preordered it, I will support them to the end of times.
Ya know what they say about MM and M10M fans: One born every minute.

Well, here we go:

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/MDN-141771593

17000 JPY + custom taxes (around 60%)

Does anyone know where can I sell things on the black market? Asking for a friend ::shifty::

thanks, i hate it

seriously though, i don't have that kind of money to drop on a DVD. I was hoping it'd be at least half that price (plus with customs charges, shipping etc...)

Most I've ever spent on a DVD in my life... super sad that I have a layover in Japan on the 16th-18th, just barely missing the signing event

That photobook better be something special... (it turns out to be a pamphlet, I swear).

"BUY MY $140 DVD, YOU IMPOTENT SWINE!"

Y-yes, master! I hope you don't pull out those whips again, master!

I just went to cdjapan to check if it was still listed as pre order after the deadline for the event, it was but I also noticed they changed it into blu ray :/ I don't even have a blu ray player -.-'

EDIT: they also mentions the change on the official webpage and that you can get a refund.

That's an interesting change to be making at the last minute. On the Malice Mizer OHP it says it's "to offer better image quality" - I hope it's true, since it looks like the original footage at least was extremely hi-res.

Just got an email that my order is switching to region-free blu-ray, no change in price. Hellaaaaaa

This was a very sudden change, really. well, I already pre-ordered it and I'm really interested in the photobook, so I'll just wait until it arrives and I'll probably try to look for a solution since I don't have a blu-ray and I don't think I'd buy one just for this. Not complaing, it probably is for the better.

I'm starting to think that this was deliberate... It doesn't seem beyond Mana (or any of MM, for that matter) to keep fans in suspense or low-key disappointed until the very last minute with a crazy plot-twist. Japan seems to embrace the element of surprise, no?

I'm not sure about that, but I can definitely agree that it is not convenient at all to give an announcement like this three weeks prior to the actual release. I mean, I'm not sure if I can really blame them for switching but it was made with a really bad timing.

You're talking about the country that coined the phrase "It was already decided. Please understand"

Oh! And also, not sure if it's related to the switch into blu-ray, but alongside the e-mail announcing that change I also got told that I won't have it delivered to my address, and that I'll have to go look for it myself. Anyone else had this happen to them too? Bit strange to be honest.

What about ninjas, HMMMMM??? *LOL obligatory culturally-insensitive Yankee post*

SPEEEAAAKING of ugly Americans, I thought complaining about customer service was our gig! (Ok, Brits too -- of which half of my family is...)

Yes? I dunno, but I until today CDjapan had the order marked as a door-to-door delivery, but today they just randomly told me I had to go take the order myself at Customs...
Yes, I probably wrote that original comment really badly. Sorry.
