I washed the bench and ruined everyone's fun. Take THAT.
Hah. I see through your lies. No one EVER washes public property in France.
So don't worry everyone; this is still a valid option.

Sadly, I have showered already. But I can always go back and sit on the bench again, and then shrink wrap my bottom. Genius.

I just found out that there are these places called libraries, one of which is the Library of Congress wherein strategy guides for video games are archived.

Dune 2000. I remember being eaten sandworms while trying to transport my greatly outnumbered troops to safety. ::cuss::

It has often been said, and with much truth, that librarians are the greatest enemy of books.
Why? I think I'm missing something.

Anyhow, this dude made a Spaghetti Oh Cannon and now whenever I see like, anything, I can't help thinking, "Gosh that would be fun to shoot with a spaghetti-oh cannon."
So that's what those books, and those librarians, and you, all mean to me atm. There are no enemies because everyone and everything is equal in my eyes.

Come on, look at the picture  They cut book pages out of their original bindings and covers, and rebind them into hideous library bindings.
But even when they don't do that libraries are pretty brutal on books. They tape those plastic covers on, usually slapping one end of the tape directly onto the book itself, they stamp the inside of the book full of markings, if it's an old-time library they glue one of those card pouches inside, and that's leaving aside what the customers do to them ::foot::
The most egregious library abuse in my collection is from one that had a sort of hole-puncher device that punched out "PROPERTY OF UNIVERSITY LIBRARY" in tiny holes on the title page.

Gosh yeah, me too. I can't believe no one has it.

I like those little things that give them character though. It's more the dirty people who touch them with their gross hands and stick cheese slices in them that bother me.

I've a fun memory I want to share with all of you.

One of my old workplaces used to have BBQ parties at the end of the month, at lunchtime all the staff members would head over to the pool that was near the office and cook some sausages. That's not the interesting part.

The interesting part was this overweight young child one of my co-workers noticed who was reclining next to the pool with a plastic cup. The kid was taking big scoops of water out of the pool in this absolutely grand gesture and drinking them as it were the very ambrosia of the gods themselves. He looked like some sort of Roman emperor gobbling down grapes, like this -

I think about that memory a lot.

lol poolwater Dionysus. Don't let him near a toilet.

Kids are crazy funny sometimes. Back when my dad had to work a brief stint in a toy store,
there was this large collection of stuffed animals in a vertical cage, with a hole in the bottom to take them out.
Like a gumball dispenser, but with enormous stuffed animals.
So I'm walking by it when some kid's face pops out from among them.
The manager sees it too and screeches, "HEY THERE'S A KID IN THE SNUGGIES"...and then she walks off.
No one cared anymore, since there are so many bad parents leave their kids in toy stores when they go shopping.
Maybe they picked it up after. Maybe it's still there. The thing was like, 12 though, and that's way too old for that ****.

I was looking through my lolita gothic crossdressy wtvr pics from forever ago and missing looking cool.

This is for hanachan.

That's awful. I do have to admit that I kind of like the Japanese habit of splitting larger books into two volumes though.
The Victorians would do 3 volumes, so that libraries could circulate the books faster. If you collect, like, Jane Austen or whatever, those triple-decker volumes are the most coveted of all.
Good thing I don't ::meev::

Not quite on topic, but I really wish someone would do an edition of The Lord of the Rings in six volumes as Tolkien originally intended it to be, and with all the appendices moved into a seventh book.

I got into dungeons n dragons recently as a way to bond with my bf who adores it and spend time with my best friend on discord every weekend. Really fun now that i've got the hang of it.

Surviving the pandemic has been easy because of FFXIV.
Discovered my ex of 4.5 years has a blossoming OnlyFans account via inappropriate video of him being retweeted onto my feed. Bleached my eyes out promptly thereafter.

How are y'all

.. Well, compared to that I'm doing pretty good

My niece is into that, and I got her this D&D adventure book with a dragon shooting lasers out of its eyes, but she never played it. Kids don't care if it's a dragon shooting lasers out of its eyes or not XD
