So, you know how Matenrou had a song called "meikyuu no tobira"?

It's another game thing. It's always a terrible game thing ::mana::

Nice theme music by Yuzo Koshiro at least.

I have no twitter but someone should probably warn Kaya that Shingeki no Kyojin is one huge GOT-esque letdown and not to bother starting it.

What a massive letdown that last chapter was!

also I got a bartending job! It’s pretty cool, it’s at a barcade (we have a massive selection of retro cabinets and modern ones as well)

Ooooh congrats! We have a few of those in France. One in particular, Player One, is wildly popular because of the decoration, weird cocktails (they use themed mugs and dry ice - like think drinking out of a smoking Rick head, or a baby bottle), and throwback events.
Some precovid days you couldn't even get in the door because it was too packed.

For me Shingeki turned sour the minute you find out what's outside the island (tbh I was expecting something similar, but a whole lot less lame and homage to WWII nostalgia).

Ah! I love themed drinks, though I’m not much of a drinker anymore funny enough. We only serve cider so it’s not as complex of a job as I expected either!
Unfortunately Texas pretty much never closed during the pandemic besides the initial lockdown and the massive freeze we had this past winter, so it’s all anything goes here. I still wear my mask to work though.

A game bar that only serves cider? XD
This sounds like a very niche establishment, I have to say.

Watch out for anyone wringing hours out of a single quarter on "1943", they're invariably up to no good :|

We went to a cider bar yesterday, and they had a cider cocktail - pink cider, bourbon and lime, on the rocks.
I don't like bourbon, but I was hoping the cidre would mask it. It did not XD
It was still nice to stay out past 21h regardless. The French curfew was the most useless, nonsensical covid policy I've ever seen.
All it did was force people to do everything between 10-17h on Saturdays and spread the disease more.

OK so lol the twitter person who told Hora he gives off vegetarian vibes XD
Being a vegetarian in Japan sounds nearly impossible because of all the hidden dashi.
That aside I feel like he was all happy about eating hamburgers in New York at one point.
But still hillarious. What are vegetarian vibes anyhow? My ballet teacher in university seemed to equate it to 'malnourished' or "anemic'.

I see what you did there XD
This person is probably a fan, a legitimate FAN.
Not just someone who sticks around too see how long he's gonna be a Hefty bag monger.

Edit so no double post: aaaand someone called me a vegetarian at work today

So anyone else think that John McAfee didn't kill himself? and Jeffrey Epstein too.

I dunno, like Epstein he was a million years old and set to do a few decades in US prison. It would not at all have been out of character for McAfee to troll the world by making his suicide as "fishy" as possible once he decided to go through with it.

Eh I'm tired of rich people who don't pay their fair share back to society. Suicide or not, the result is the same and I'm not bothered by it lol

I'm on call tonight for quarter closing. My colleague, who never does anything ANYONE wants, has magically decided that tonight, at 23h, is the day that he will do things, and that he needs my help on something so urgent that it can totally wait for tomorrow or even next week. You can bet I'm billing my company for this.

Double post and super random, but ever since I lol'ed about someone thinking Hora's a vegetarian, everyone's been assuming I'm a vegetarian.
I went into a bakery yesterday and ordered something, and the girl goes 'it has bacon in it though...'

Weirdest karmatic justice ever.

So how's everyone holding up in this terrifying global heat wave? As near as I can tell, there are very few places on the planet you can go to escape right now - primarily Tierra del Fuego and mountain peaks 2000 meters or higher.

Well, let's just say that on Sunday we went bouldering, but the weather did the Ile De France rain thing right as we got there so I ended up freezing my tush off and got a cold.
(in the end we sat out the rain in a café in Barbizon and then went hiking instead. The village is quaint with good trails if anyone ever has the occasion)

It's currently 21C (70F) in Paris and I'm in jeans and a turtleneck.

If it is any consolation, there were 4 fairly unbearable days a month ago.

Late but I was just in an elevator with a guy in my new building who said that he ran his AC for 4 days and thereafter racked up an additional $200 for his electricity bill lol.
We don't have an AC at home so we just went to the mall and hung out. Their food court seating was open so we could at least sit down for a while and cool off~
Kinda sucks though because a lot of places are on fire in my province. A whole-ass village basically got razed recently :(

All right, that beats me, it took an entire month to reach an additional $200 here. ::teef::
Hope you're staying safe, it seems this is just a planet that doesn't want to be lived on right now.
