I think we're missing a bit of crucial information in all this though.
What is unbearably hot for you guys?
I call needlessly uncomfortable at anything over 31C (89), unbearable at 35 (95) or over.
Thankfully where I am rarely gets that high...yet.

Speaking of, Elon Musk is a jerkface.

In Texas it’s been storming for like a month straight or so , it’s wild. The heat is also unbearable coupled with the humidity. I’m desensitized to it for the most part but today was 98F and I’m definitely not here for that ever

I just found out that the band Manowar is not, as I had believed for a very long time, German, but American.

Manowar has a lot of good songs, but how on earth could I ever admit that to anyone?

I was at a grocery store and there were like 8 police cars in and around the parking lot. It seems that the whole thing involved some women getting in a fight. Whatever went on must have been a truly cataclysmic eruption of violence, directed only at each other - I didn't see any property damage, overturned apple carts, or the like. Just people being detained at separate entrances. I'll have to check the newspapers and see what it was all about, my curiosity is piqued.

They were fighting for the last pack of Manoflakes in the store.

Situations like that are really awkward, honestly. "Can I go shopping here now? Should I wait outside or something? Can I walk over the puddle of blood to get my canned pineapples?"

I read the news, it feels like the entire fabric of the internet has been blown apart and we have entered into some strange new timeline.

I looked it up, and... Jesus Christ.
Makes you wonder how many more of those people from old memes have disturbing endings to their story. Maybe "Star Wars Kid" is now the tyrannical dictator of his obscure country.

I swear you two are on your own wavelength. I was going to ask what you're talking about, but after that last exchange I'll just leave it be.

Instead, why do I find the idea of Kaya working out funny?
He's a dude like everyone else but for some reason it's funny.
Also this is my favorite comic (but it has nothing to do with him; I like it cause it's true)

Euh...there's a pic of his friend's personal gym, and some whey powder...I think?
Is that good enough for your friend?

Today, after typing that the new guy on the team had a pornstash instead of a pornstache on skype, and causing a big much ado about nothing, did I realize that maaaybe I need to start putting effort into correcting my atrocious spelling.

Too bad about Afganistan, on the matter of the Taliban.
I hope everyone manages to flee the country (especially the women cause goodness no).

But I've honestly been wondering if anyone ever pays their NHK bill.
I bet it's one of the only systematic theft the Japanese approve of, along with umbrellas.

There's an audiovisual tax in France too, but only if you have a TV.
And you can totally lie and say you don't have a TV (large external monitors don't count!)
It is in precisely no one's interest to pay the audiovisual tax, btw, since French public tv is what we call 'de la merde' and we're best off without it.

The NHK man has only visited me once, I told them I don't own a TV, they went on their way and I've never seen them since.
I know a lot of younger Japanese people don't own TVs and use Netflix on their phone to watch whatever it is that tickles their fancy. Also another reason why the Switch/Switch Lite sells so well.

But was it true? XD

I've been growing more and more annoyed here because the plague keeps getting worse and the rate of mask-wearing just keeps going down. There was even an actual anti-mask rally (albeit a small one) in my town on Saturday.
