Any news on where to get the CD if you live outside of Japan? Can't be arsed to use any proxy services.

got advanced copy yesterday around midnight from kaya and the album is super good! Though the genre mix makes it feel like a compilation at first after a few listens the whole feel of it completely came together, it was really nice hearing him in a band format again in some songs too, that was the highlight of the album.

I'm starting to feel a bit desperate now.

Like, come on, man. Why is it so difficult for Japanese to sell albums to people outside Japan?

We are working on amazon sales for overseas for this album it seems, I will ask him if we can set up just overseas orders for the regular label site too when we are shipping out overseas orders for the crowdfunding so maybe can get an answer on that by the end of this week and post on the kaya_itn twitter account about that.

What, are you a staffer for Kaya now? Maybe I should break out those "industry contact" crosses again.

yes! do translations, overseas related stuff etc. and am producing a song that is for after this album~

Tomorrow we ship out all overseas crowdfunding packages and then I talked with him about making a bandcamp since cdjapan takes 40% of all sales @_@!
so hopefully can set that up so people can get CDs, digital stuff, and goods too easier. so can probably update about that tomorrow night.

Wow 40% that's insane
What shipping method will be used?
40% is crazy right? i hate those kind of companies preying off of artists.

ah shipping method for overseas if from bandcamp?
for my band and solo stuff I've just done japan post each time with no problems. the corona stuff has made things a mess with the various other methods >.<

CDJapan takes 40%? That's wild. Honestly, in this day and age of digital sales that sounds like a business suicide.

And oh my gawd, I can get my Kaya album now! Thanks!

Also noticed this:

Right? I talked with them once about carrying our stuff and they were so rude as well, I straight up told them in this age of everyone being able to create their own shops and distribution deals that the only thing they can offer is not being rude and that they need to change their attitude @_@ but honestly all VK related cd shops are crap here too, no communication, stalling on paying you your money etc.

I am glad if you could get your stuff ^v^! am shipping out first batch of orders next week.

all them new goods are so good right @v@? want them all...

Man, I still haven't received my album yet. The album was shipped over a month ago, so I assume it's lost somewhere.

fml, time to hang myself

I'm in Finland and let me tell you, this isn't the first post package that's gone missing recently.
I don't know if it's the corona and the Russia-Ukraine war or what, but I feel like I have constant problems receiving the stuff I've ordered. Not sure if it's just a Finnish thing. Our postal services have really started to suck in recent times, IMO.
Not too long ago I ordered around 6 different things from Amazon. With every order I had to deal with either the customs, crappy postal service or missing packages. I can feel my hairline receding just thinking about it now.

Because of that I haven't bothered to send the store an email about the album yet. Probably should, maybe they have a tracking number or something.

What?

So I sent an email to Kaya's store asking them if they had the tracking number or something. Well, they never got back to me at all (good customer service!)
It's been like more than two months since I placed the order and I didn't hear anything about it, so I assumed it got lost or something and just stopped caring about it.

Until today! Got a letter from the postal service telling me that I need to clear the customs on it. Best of all? The letter from the Finnish post says that the package arrived in June, 10th to be exact. So they sat on it for two months because of ???

So yeah, I'm about to get the album finally. Would've been pretty nice to hear it once it was out, though. Then again, they could still lose the parcel so I shouldn't get my hopes up.

Christ, Finland sounds like France. Except customs will like, remove stuff they like from your packages from time to time it seems. Glad you almost got your CD :)

Late update, but I did indeed get the album.

Now I bought Kaya's calendar and a live DVD from the store. I hope I get the calendar in less than six months, lmao.
I feel like buying those keychains too... Maybe some other day.
