The "2022 Summer Happy Bag" is here:
https://www.wunderwelt.jp/en/products/a-00453

But what I want to know is:

※Buttons are sensitive to heat and may stain when warmed up. Please take care not to let them touch other garments after ironing or steaming until they have cooled down.

What exactly is going on here?

You know, I'm now, oddly, fondly, remembering that time I melted myself into my Moitie XD

Anyhow, that's not the first time Moitie uses a ribbon threaded through the fabric as a separator of sorts.

Call me old-fashioned but I thought the contents of a lucky bag were supposed to be a surprise.

Anyone know what this is all about?
https://nitter.moomoo.me/M_d_M_official/status/1606215766440697856#m

Mana saying that he is still The Creator Of Moi-Meme-Moitie and not to drag Tanaqro through the mud over... something?
I see a comment about a supposed "backlash" over quality, but nobody really seems to know what this is all about, including the Japanese. Any plugged-in individuals here who can elaborate?

Other than the usual slew of issues people have regarding Nü-Moitie, people's knickers have recently been in a knot over the attribution of designs and vague tweets, business as usual, really nothing that interesting.

People are angry for several reasons.
1. Moitie is reusing old designs & re-creating them in much lower quality
2. Moitie isn’t crediting the initial designer.
Whether people call them out on 1. or 2., instead of leaving room for conversation they aggressively delete comments or deactivate comments on instagram (even when said comments are polite).
This behaviour isn’t professional & only raises more suspicion in my opinion.
I'm extremely disappointed by Mana, despite having been his fan for a long, long time.
I am not the only one who's disappointed, I've chatted with other fans in private.

In what respect? I'm mostly of the opinion that "High Moitie quality" was always a myth... but then again all those mentions of running dyes on their new stuff is suspicious.

Moitie isn’t crediting the initial designer.
Who is it then?

I own old moitie and can tell you that moitie quality wasn't a myth, it really was great.

Even the 2019 re-releases were great (cross OP & juliet OP).

I did buy some recent dresses, some of them were good (like their nun OPs, I really loved them), however many were very disappointing in quality. This picture alone speaks for itself :

This isn't an isolated issue. Japanese fans regularly point out on twitter that the fabric of new releases is too thin but don't tag the brand (probably scared of backlash, since like I said, Wunderwelt gets aggressive when you criticize them).

As for the designer issue :
I know for sure that the following original OP was designed by Alice Kobayashi.
https://lolibrary.org/items/moitie-velveteen-ribbon-long-op

I won't comment on the other re-releases because I don't know.

Edit : Alice just tweeted that the original rose print they are re-using was from her too.

I am aware that many moitie designers were never named and some people use that argument to say there would be no reason for Alice to be named. But I disagree. Alice's name was back in the day openly mentionned on magazines & official websites (including Malice Mizer website). I therefore think (pure hypothesis) that her situation was different from the un-named designers. Why would they suddenly want to erase her name while they were fine with naming her in 2019?

Meanwhile Wunderwelt has the nerve to re-post after the drama their rose cross print without naming her, despite having weeks ago recognized their mistake.

All my life I defended Mana whenever fans had anything unpleasant to say. I often wrote him fanmail, even just to say "I believe you/ trust you" if weird rumors came up.
But this time I won't.

To add to your points -
#2 - they didn't just miss the credit, but credited the design to Mana instead. Of course it might have been a mistake and they did update the listing after the fact came to light.
#1 - Most of the people who are seriously buying this stuff are long time fans who are also irked at tickets for rendezvous and events basically requiring them to buy the same things they already own, in lesser quality.

Alice Kobayashi.
Not too long ago she tweeted out a vague comment lamenting the way that large companies treat their designers. Whether or not it was in regards to MmM, who knows.

Thanks for the added info .
PS: in my previous post I say Wunderwelt but maybe saying Tanaqro would be more correct. Anyway, you get the general idea.

Thank you for your recap

Dec 23 :
- moitie posts the long op re-release
- Minutes later, a comment calls them out. They should have expected this because they had already been called out on not naming her, at least in stories tagging moitie official account before that publication was made, because moitie had already made other publications elsewhere without mentionning her name.
- ~20min later, comments got deactivated on all their instagram new release posts.
- about 1hr30 later, Mana tweeted.
I have the sceencaps, that's how I know the approximative time-frame.

@sanctum the last tweet you linked says dec 21 to me instead of dec 22 but maybe that's because of my time-zone .
