I'd never have met so many good friends. ^___^
I'd not have heard Japanese rock music.
I'd...not own any websites.
I'd not own photoshop.
I'd write a lot less...maybe not write at all.
I'd be a really great student, and a really boring person.

If it weren't for the internet, I would be completely oblivious to many things that are in essence complete wastes of time; I wouldn't be aware of bizarre sexual practices that shock me to the core and could perhaps jeopardize my faith in humanity; I wouldn't have my beliefs and opinions belittled and devalued by complete strangers with negligible scholarship in the matter at hand; I wouldn't have the same damn picture of some kitten with a bit of incongruent internet speak 'shopped onto it shown to me every 3 seconds by everyone; I would avoid the dredges of All Things Japan; I wouldn't be taught about androgyny through the scizophrenia that is my SPAM filter (Do I want bigger boobs or a biggest wang? I CAN'T DECIDE); I could avoid self-centered, mopey teenagers who listen to and profess the greatness of completely unlistenable music; and I might have finished my novel by now.

The one good thing that came out of that was the obscure hoax story where that owl died.

Haven't heard that one.
I think it was a SomethingAwful thing; unless it was 4chan; which I hate, but I hear all too much about from friends :(

For j-music - I jumped from anime to internet, I remember when 1st listening to Buck-Tick in Nightwalker op. I was already a net junkie, but when wanting to search for j-bands I was even more

And actually...internet gave me lifestyle ::shifty:: I found Mana, and I found style XD

I don't know what life would be like... even discounting Jrock. :P All my art and career is based around the internet. I attribute everything I've learned, all the professional contacts I've made, and a good chunk of the support and friendship I've recieved to things I've done online. I expect I'd be quite a different person... lots of people are joking they would have a life without the 'net, but me? I think I wouldn't have one. ::shifty::

If it weren't for the internet on the plus side I wouldn't have found out about Jmusic.

On the -ve side, I would have knucked down and worked in school and maybe even erned myself a possition of respect, but that time has now come to pass the brightest is not known and I'm the thicko

I actually heard my first Japanese song over the radio....so....I would have already been thrown into the chasm of foreign eccentricity.

Looking back, I'm amazed at how often Pizzicato 5 were used in Western media. I mean, I can count a few commercials they were featured in, and I've noticed MORE than a few instances of their use in the backgrounds of VH1 shows. O:

In other words, there was no escape for me. But I still loves me some intarweb.

XD My question as to "Has anyone actually -kept- Tom the myspace Dude as a friend???!" has finally been answered.

If it were not for the internet I would never have become so damn jealous of navate's mad art skills XD

And were it not for the internet, I wouldnt be somebody's godmommy ^_^

I removed Tom from my friend list then made my user pic Tom's and left obnoxious comments on all my friend's pages >:^D

It was even better because my profile went down and when friend's went to check the profile to see if it was real or not they kept getting an error. So a couple of them really thought it was Tom or where just highly confused
