I'll check out this PV. Really it sounded mediocre except for the fact that Gackt finally got his ass in gear and started singing like normal again. But, as I said earlier, if he's honestly singing like normal the whole way though, I have no complaints this time around!

edit: Hmmmm.....the 'everyone standing around in a circle' bit really reminds me of Gazette.
And the guitar part at the end was a bit reminiscent of "White Eyes" so that's probably where it was coming from. Not a bad song. Don't think it's going to hit #1 or anything like Returner did (returner had me all teared up at the end of it, hahah), but I hope it does alright just to show gackt that we're sick of that loveletter-style crap he's been pushing for the past few years. :/Gackt rapping is always entertaining, too.

@Dogfight: Honestly, I think that's stretching it a bit. Sure, there's the mention of "god says that this happens when you die," but that isn't exactly a challenge, is it? It's more of a, "By the way..." sort of remark, if the posted translation is anything to go by. Either way, it's pretty emo any way you look at it- especially when you've got someone blowing their brains out at the end. The splashback with the shot is what really gets me, though....

Ugh, I hate the whole emo thing. Oh a guy who is tormented by his sins to the point where he wants his life to end. Oh he must be emo.
Honestly that sounds childish. Im highly sick of the whole oh anyone who would have any type of sadness is automatically emo.
If it was some person acting sad because they were down on life, acting like they had nothing, but were actually pretty well off, that would be something emo. Just trying to get attention.
But actual feelings like loss of a loved one, or being tormented by things that you've done in your past are meaningful things. I honestly cant stand how people use that damn word for everything today.

mmm the song is alright altough it'd be better with a real guitar solo (I never understand why he never let his guitarists try something more than random riffs

To my knowledge....there is death in alot of Gackt's videos...he normally dies in some way. SO it wasn't surprising to see at all. *agrees with nocturne as well*

emo=(overly) emotional, to my knowledge, therefore the label fits. However, if there's another definition I've been missing out on here, please explain it.

Anyways, I just watched the video. It looks like the guy was/is part of the military and I guess killed a lot of people, and its been haunting him...
Then when Gackt tells him that "God says that when you die/ Your life will pass before your own eyes", which would mean that the guy would have to relive his life again through that...
But I guess its better to him than having to keep living with all his sins.

Because it's a word that got integrated into pop culture that people tend to use for everything and anything remotely emotional.
The thing, people tend to be emotional, because....we have emotions. Emo was used in pop culture nowadays to describe the overly whinny punk bands that emerged, the ones that wore all the dark make up and the little teenagers copied and made it into a living walking joke.
Personally, I dont see any of Gackts song's that way, or really TONS of other bands. If Gackt is emo, then so is literally every other band in existence since most people tend to sing about love and loss.
Either way, it's a highly irritating word.
