I too would hate it if i had to give a concert and all that people care is to stare into their cameras to be cool later with their pics and vids.

Im starting to like Kiwamu for that.

Good on Kiwamu. Cameras are against the rules in gigs, everyone knows that?

Perhaps he could have done it differently though, i.e.

You're right, there is a way of dealing with it. Even getting a security guard or something would have been better IMO

Raveson: I'd like to see you say that when someone chucks your expensive camera away and breaks it. Rockstar or not. Remember not all mommy's and daddy's are rich that they can buy a new replacement one for thier little lolita daughter. ::kisaki::

I think she's smart enough not to take her camera to a place where it's forbidden to take pictures (like any sensible person). Not liking the rules isn't a reason not to dislike the artist. They can walk off the stage at any moment if people don't put the cameras away.

Again, that's fine. That's a better way to deal with it, but grabbing it from a fan's hand and then throwing it away is not cool.

EDIT: I dislike Kiwamu because he doesn't treat people very nicely, such as his staff or his fans. I've heard alot of stories - and I shouldn't listen to rumours - but when you hear it straight from the actual people - it's a whole different matter.

Actually, I think cameras are allowed at that live because 80% of the people were holding them.

well, i wouldn't go with my Very expensive camera in front of his nose while he is playing for me(=the audience). The other thing is, if he or anyone else would come and break my camera while im picturing flowers in my garden.

Many fans still take pictures despite warnings. Happened with Versailles and Candy.
If you notice, after the incident in the video occurred everyone puts their cameras away for a while, so my guess is there were no cameras allowed to begin with.

Kiwamu always encourages pictures, so I'm not sure what happened.

I've seen Kiwamu's bad side and his good side. In fact, the first time I saw him and Blood live was on their last NY gig, where he exploded on stage and insulted a staff member.

Still, I wouldn't generate any bad rumors of him because the man is capable of good things.

@sadoasis I think they put away their cameras because they didn't want kiwamu to throw them into the crowd. I dont know much about such matters but it seems strange that everyone used their cameras so boldy and openly (if they weren't allowed in the first place).

Either way, I still feel that he had no right to do that to someone.

I saw that a few days ago and thought it was an extreme thing to do... I personally dislike people waving around cameras at concerts/gigs [unless its local ones] as its generally just annoying.

He really should have got a bouncer to take it off her and give it back after the show =\

Oh, and my signed GPKISM poster was sent out from Darkest Labyrinth today, so it should be here by Friday =D

They also sent out 'Lost Sky' despite it being about a month until its official release... Unless they are sending out the poster then the CD.

Reading all this and the interviews etc, it's quite ironic that the guy who wrote an album titled GRANDIOSE DELUSION joined the band as a session musician ::bleh::

That said, I still like Sublimis somwhat, and Illuminatum quite a bit. But I don't know how long I can continue listening to their music if they keep making the same song over and over again and multiplying the levels of self-grandeur.

Too bad good darkwave/synth/industrial/whatever bands with deep voiced male vocalists are hard to find.

Even though its billed exclusively as GPK's solo project, I hope that Ryonai and Kiwamu will contribute to the studio recordings to add some variation... Ultimatus is a fantastic song, written by Kiwamu & GPK so hopefully Kiwamu and Ryonai will contribute a bit more, especially on the new album and also since Ryonai has had experience with Blam Honey and Suppurate System who were of the Gothic Industrial/Industrial Rock genre.

Like you said, I do enjoy Sublimis but Illuminatum is definitely my favourite CD because the songs do have a bit more variation.

Oh, and I PM'd GPKISM official fanclub and they told me that they are thinking of an EU tour later this year.

Okay, new songs on Myspace!

http://www.myspace.com/gpkism

I'm listening to 'Abaddon', which I expected to be quite a dark song, but its the complete opposite... The composition is definitely different [still with the classical/guitar formula but its more of a mellow rock song] from the usual compositions and sounds more BLOOD, but definitely in a good way.

Its onto Atheos now and the intro is a lot darker... Similar to the usual GPK composition but the guitar is very... different? For lack of better term.

So far, I love them <3

Oh My God! I'm so excited!

Abaddon is so pop-ish ::meev:: But I'm absolutely in love with it! ::squee:: And again "hold me tight" and "forever and ever". Hey, does he have only a 1000 words in his word stock? ::erm::

Atheos is adorable too! It's dark and evil. But I think I will listen to not so often as the first one since I'm not addicted to distorted vocal. The same thing happend to Infernum. Well, and I have to notice that he uses "set me free" as in some other songs (returning to my words about lack of his lexicon ::meev::)

Then... new Illuminatum! Well, it's became heavier and some bits were added (or it just seems to me?). But the chorus make me really crazy - my head is going to explode! And all this breathing during the songs make me feel strange. Overall, I don't like the new version - the single version still rules!

The same thing I have to say about new Sublimis. Two rearranged songs lost their original magic and mystery for me. I'm afraid that the same thing will happen with the others new songs.

When I had heard Abaddon I became really excited about new album, but Illuminatum and Sublimis cooled me down. Well, I'll be an optimist and hope that I'll like the other songs. And we still didn't hear the last one - new song Abyssus (but something tells me that it's just an instrumental).
Well, anyway I can't wait till release because I want to have Abaddon mp3!

I only just noticed the new Illuminatum now, so I am listening to it... Its a bit heavier and there are GPK's backing vocals... To me, its definitely not as good as the original, but its still enjoyable nonetheless.

Also, Infernum is my favourite out of all the Illuminatum

Now, even though I am quite a big fan of GPKISM, I do have some constructive critcism... There are a few words and phrases that are often repeated often, I mean, the songs are all in the concept of love so there are bound to be a few signature words popping up now and again but sometimes it can get repetitive... I would like to see straying away from Electro/Classical... Like, I would love to have a few songs focusing on Electro w/o classical and vice versa, which is why I am very happy with Abaddon, as it uses some different drum beats and feels more BLOOD then GPKISM.

Anyways, my opinions of the new tracks:

Abaddon: It has a different sound, showing that GPKISM doesn't always recycle and can try some different techniques. It feels like a rock song, which is a nice contrasting change.

Atheos: There is something very creepy with the introduction... it almost sounds like croaking voices... Kiwamu is awesome with the simple guitar and the beats make it seem like a melancholic dance number. I don't have a preference for clean or distorted vocals, but I feel they suit him well as it makes the speaker seem more corrupt.

Rearranged Illuminatum: Heavier, not as good as the original, but still very interesting with the vocals. It shows they put some effort into the rearranged versions.

Rearranged Sublimis: Admittedly, Sublimis isn't one of my favourite songs... But I quite like this version. I don't own the original album, only the maxi-single. I love the emotion in his voice.

I CANNOT WAIT for the new album... even though there are only 3 new tracks (+ probably one instrumental) I don't own the mini-album (but I have heard the songs) and I am interested to see what he has done.

Abaddon feels like a rock song? ::bleh:: For me it is so pop! And by the way Kiwamu wrote on myspace that it was he who wrote this song! That's why it's so BLOODish and not like the others GPKISM songs.

As for criticism... well, there is a lot of thing wich can be critisized. At first, it's a repetitive music. Then, the songs are twice longer than they should be. I mean, he repeats all text of song twice! He shoud either make songs shorter either write longer lyrics. The other thing is the titles of songs. I've never understood what's the connection between titles of his songs and it's content.

It's seems like GPK just want to be a musician without big efforts. And I have to admit, he does it pretty well! As my friend said "GPK should write a book called "How to become a musician in a 3 days"

P.S. Please, don't get my post wrong: I'm a really big GPKISM fan, I listen to it more than any other group/singer now. Those "minuses" just make me fun and don't bother me very much.
