"Lastica":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qasoU04s1z0

I couldn't find an official site, just this MySpace (wow, people still using MySpace...):

I forgot to pre-order their CD and I think it's sold out now. But they sound alright, could pack a bit more of a punch. I was never really into their previous bands (MUCC, Alice Nine, Sadie, I like early Ayabie, the other guy's band, never heard of it), maybe united they'll be cooler.

Better than I thought it would be, considering some of the member's track records (I'm really not a fan of Alice Nine or Ayabie). But as you say... it could pack a bit more punch.

I'm a bit confused on one point though- I wasn't aware that any of those bands (Alice Nine, MUCC, Sadie, Ayabie) had disbanded. So is this a side project or did I miss the boat?

It's just a side project.

For a "super unit" they're not really all that super imo :-S I was expecting more considering all the hype but eh I've only heard Lastica though.

Yes, I think that's the only song on the CD they're releasing in a few days (plus DVD with PV+live performances). Was wondering if anyone has heard anything else by them, since they've played live a couple of times. Looking around for new bands to listen...

They are being promoted as a "super unit", but they don't have any capes that I can see, so...

Aaah, I almost had a panic attack and thought that MUCC split. D:

It's catchy but not grabbing me too much. Line up is kinda..bizarre. o_0

MUCC is one of my favorite bands so having Tatsurou on vocals is always a plus (still, I hope it doesn't distract him). Jealkb is a pretty groovy indies band, for those who haven't heard of them.

But Alice Nine and Sadie make my ears bleed, and I've never listened to Ayabie.

I'm not a big fan of any of the bands these guys are from...
I like some Mucc songs, but they're funner to listen to live than in my personal time.

I like two or three Ayabie songs, but otherwise they're awful.

and alice nine. is probably my most disliked band in VK. :|
I think I tried to listen to Sadie once, but was bored and deleted it after listening.

Also, this song is really awful. I feel like any musician could've written this. What a generic song. :|

Urgh, yeah, after giving it a second listen I think I'm putting my lot in with "Let this super group go the way of S.K.I.N."

GO BACK TO YOUR PEOPLES, TATSUROU. And please do something with your hair.

I already don't like those side-project things, but calling it a "super unit" or "super group" is even worse. This has nothing super at all :|

The only super things in those bands are some of the guy's egos...

I wouldn't call it horrible myself, but it falls short of what it should be, you know, for a "super" band. I quite like the opening, actually, but it lacks power.

I guess the ability to pull fans from the different fan bases is what could be "super".

I checked out Jealkb on YouTube, didn't convince me, but one of their PVs was cute (with a little flying boat)... if they are (still) indies then they put a lot of effort on their videos.
