God forbid people don't enjoy everything he releases regardless of quality. I guess unless you call everything he puts out OMG FUCKING AMAZING you are a horrible fan. How dare people express their honest opinion of his work.

^For real.

It's not "being negative" to say you don't like something, it's just sharing your opinion. Which is the point of a forum.
If this forum was only filled with positive opinions there would be no point in posting here. :|

I'm all for people giving their opinion, I like to hear their views on Kaya's stuff if it's an intellectual review rather than just "it sucks". What's important to me how how they word it.

If it's like: "I don't like the release because *explanation*" then it's fine because they have asserted that it's their own opinion by using "I", but when it's like: "This stuff is crap!!" It makes them sound like their opinion is the only way and no one else has a say in it.

I've actually enjoyed Kaya's newer releases like Ophelia and Last Snow; I have said before its interesting to see him experiment but frankly, I think a lot of people are tired of this and want to see an album with his regular style. However, what I do love is even though with some of his releases I don't like I always fall in love with his appearence because its always something he seems to pull of very well. Thats why I'm still a fan.

However you will all be happy to know that he said his next ALBUM (yes, album) in a JaME interview will be out this year, will follow the love story between boy and girl kaya and there are 3 new songs written (One by Kalm and 2 by other people, its on his blog posts) so I think if people are looking for his 'regular' style becoming more predominant that this will be the record they will look out for :D

i for one, am very pro-kaya. but i never post anything, i just lurk (though please encourage your friend to post the music <3)
i think the problem is that the people waiting to hear him put out music that is more of what they consider "kaya-style" are getting a little angry at how long it is taking for more of that kind of music... but i'm happy with dance remixes :D

I'm open to remixes as long as they resemble the original tracks at least a little bit. But these... ::shifty::

It's hard to tell based on the short sample but I don't think anything could redeem this new Ryouran mix. ::meev:: For cases like these I feel an artist ought to scrap the idea of remixing and instead work on crafting a new melody and lyrics from scratch; something that will fit the song better than what's already established.

At the same time I kinda like how it sounds like a Final Fantasy battle theme. :P

The Chocolate remix sounds unfinished (like all the parts don't flow together fluidly) but I like the added notes a lot and

The Ryouran remix is pretty crazy... again I am liking the new notes

I am glad that these remixes actually have new content added to them and are not merely cut and pasted setions with tempo changes and a deeper pounding bass like a lot of other remixes ::meev::

Silvery Dark is so cyute!

Since this is not available for sale over the internet, I think it is okay to say this. JrockBrazil is where you can find this remix CD.

Ok, I really don't like the remixes of Chocolat or Ryouran. I don't think I'll be syphoning these off the net. But I did like Silvery Dark a lot, which is saying something for me since I didn't at all like the original.

Wow, who would have thought Kaya would ever use a double bass drum in ANYTHING o_O ::k::

Does anyone happen to know who actually remixed these? They're ok, but I'm kind of disappointed with Silvery Dark... I liked the original ballad version (and I'm aware I'm the only one on earth who did  )

According to the booklet information, it says:

KAYA REMIX VOL.1 K

PRODUCED BY: PEONY

1) CHOCOLAT REMIX
written by: Hora
Arrangement by -quiche-

2) RYOURAN REMIX
written by:
nvwrya.jpg

Arrangement by AK
Vocal recording by Shinya Saito

3) SILVERY DARK REMIX
written by: Kei Suzuki
Arrangement by -quiche-

All the three are recorded and mix engineered by Naoya Yoshida

Photography Mayumi Fukaminato

And, it also says TOROIMERAI, so it's an indie release. I kinda like Kaya is back in the indie scene.

This is fantastic! I had no idea, but I'm glad to see Juya doing something~

Edit: figures, his arrangements are the ones I enjoy most out form the entire single.

Juya was D'AIR's bassist. After the band broke up he began his solo project -qiche- (spelled -quiche- at times) His blog and personal site has been down for months now, and he had promised to make music again over a year ago, but it had been a while since his last release...
