my friend told me that Gackt kept shouting "HOW HARD DO YOU WANT TO F..K ME?" or something like that ::erm::

this European mini tour was a last minute planned thingy

Then maybe he shouldn't have done it then, it's not an excuse for a shitty show.

True. First of all he asked us to : "Show me how hard you love me!!!" to finish by "Show me how hard you want to f*** me !!!".... and a lot of, "motherfuckers" "brotheeeeers and sisteeeeeeers".

Strange feeling when it's from Gackt... but, okay. He is in a rock'n'roll mood ::k::

That's a little harsh don't you think?

Basically you're saying he should not have made some spare time for his fans in Europe who so much longed for him to finally show him self, and should have kept his Okinawan ass in Japan JUST because he was not 'magically flying' trough the air while feathers falling from the ceiling?

A big ass themed show costs months of months and months of planning and preparations, a shitload of money on stage- and image design, a shitload of money on transporting everything to another part of the world by airplane (and no artist do not have discount on that) such as the stage decoration, costumes, instruments, tons of merchandise, etc...
Then there is the careful planning of the songs, choreograph that go with the songs, studying of the audience it self, the arrangement of all the staff, dancers, stylists, etc... tagging allong, and so on.
There is so much that comes with touring as an artist and if you already are doing a big tour and you need to have a certain budget.
That's kinda like going to a restaurant on budget and order a bottle of house champagne but expect to get a bottle of Dom Perignon White Gold Jeroboam.

Hell if I had to say "Közi, you don't give a shit about your audiance because most of the time you're being too much turned inwards towards your self while performing instead of towards the audience, your gig sucked ass so piss off I wish you never came" what kind of fan would I be??
So, even though I am not really a Gackt fan my opinion is be glad he made time for his fans during his busy schedule, he could have ignored his European fans even longer.
Who knows, he might come back soon and give out the kind of concert that is 'to be expected' of a man like Gackt.

i don't know much about Gackt show and i didn't went for the french live, but (from what i understand) if he is doing a big tour in japan, he surely play more songs during that tour then for one concert?

So they had the occasions to do all the songs he sing during this tour no?

And it kind of remind me of when art cube came in france last year, thei're organisation was really bad , we had our tickets only the day of the concert ... but once the band was on stage they gave all they had, they did a second autograph session right after the live just because they knew it would please the fan...

so i would not say that he should not have come but it clearly seems like he could have done better without doing THE MEGA show of the year ^^!

::gaku:: + ::foot:: = :lol:

Seriously, I'm not totally surprised by that. He's always been the one out the MM members most likely to hump something on stage. He's just being crazy, no big deal. :P

Yeah, I mean it doesn't have to be "'magically flying' trough the air while feathers are falling from the ceiling." A band simply playing a rock show is great - but it doesn't sound like this concert even delivered on that level.

I wasn't going to reply here, but I can't ignore this level of stupidity.

You do NOT know this side of Gackt, ok? I've been to 3 YFC lives in Osaka this month and they are exactly the same in content (minus Mind Forest which is sung in english for the concerts in Europe), just the venues can hold about 2000 people. That's small for Gackt in Japan; the reason why he holds tours like this is to give his fans the opportunity to get close to him, and to get a closer atmosphere than in his big Visualive tours which are so well known. This is the first time he is taking such a raw live on a national tour, and if it weren't for the budget conveniency, he wouldn't have been able to tour in Europe.

Of course, the people attending Gackt concerts in Japan are actual fans, you can't expect that from Europe. I myself am wondering why it's worth spending 50+ euros on a ticket for a Gackt concert in 2010, when you stopped caring about the guy many years ago.

Of course there are going to be new songs, what's the point of promoting an artist overseas with songs that don't represent in anymore, like Vanilla? (I heard people were shouting for that before the encores, under the vague disillusion that they can change the programming last minute to a song Gackt hasn't performed in over 6 years)
The YFC setlist was very well spread on the internet before the Europe tour started, so with a bit more research you could've known what to expect and drawn your conclusions that maybe this wasn't the right concert for you.

Then again, if you feel smug enough to bash Gackt into the concrete after he gave his all to entertain your hypefogged mind and throw around nonsense about painted abs, you simply do not belong at a Gackt concert period. Do you guys know how many REAL diehard fans who were waiting for this for years weren't able to get tickets? I went to the Deep Sanctuary II live in Akasaka on the 17th, and not being a real M10M or Közi fan I would've felt guilty for going if there weren't plenty of tickets available. But these YFC concerts were all sold out in hours. I was one of the people not able to get tickets, but I got lucky about a week ago, so I am going to Bochum after I fly back from Japan today. Looking forward to it and I'm sure it'll be unforgettable.

How is any of this painted on? Looking at flatshopped visual kei bodies much seriously screw with your sight if you can't recognize a real set of abs.

Haha, I'm sure he has some abs dude, but having a whole lot of different people who haven't even talked together saying the same thing about it means something no?
(professional magazine foto up there ain't gonna tell us the truth)

Having a concert is about pleasing the fans, much more than promoting at this stage of a career.
I'm curious to know what you have to say about the private japanese-only live he had in paris some years ago? Normal?

Paying 50 bucks for a small no special effect live in a small livehouse, while playing not that many songs plus a complete lack of spontaneity (that musicians usually have a sense for, especially a sense for satisfying their audience). Are we just wallets?

But yeah, tell us what you get from the concert. A concert should be good without any artifices, if you can't manage that.. what's the purpose?

(Chacha was ever great though, can't deny that! What a show man!)

First a popular rumor is still a rumor.

Second. Spontaneity what? What artist do you know of changes their entire concert set list in the middle of a tour just to please "fans" that stopped listening to him years ago? For what purpose would he have to preference people who don't follow his music regularly over those who do? Gackt didn't hold this concert for "fans" who quit listening to him a decade ago and expect him to only play old songs for nostalgia's sake. This concert was for fans as in people who are still listening to his music. Also that "Japanese Only live" was a fan club live which he didn't hold in the middle of a tour so it has no relevance to this discussion.

I was acctually quite suprised to read this, ...and I have to admit it sounds a bit fun in my ears...^^ anyways, I don't want to sound old fashion or anything, but those thing aren't exactly things that make me like Gackt more... more the opposite... Maybe I just had this totaly wrong, dream image of wonder-man Gackt^^

They are his fans. It is not like they are disposable just because they have not been following him all the time. People get interested in other things, it is not like its their duty to always keep up with Gackt. Just saying.
