I don't know if it's a matter of culture, I know in France and Germany fans tend to be more calm, maybe because they get used to this sort of events and that passion has passed.

Lol towards their idols maybe but they are twice as aggressive towards each other (as in fan to fan).
In all my many years of J-concerts I have to say that the French and Germans are the number 1 and 2 most aggressive crowds of Europe. To keep it on topic, Konayuki and I went to the Bocchum gig and for the first time in many years I was actually forced to use violence in order to protect her and my self. Because at one point a some crazed fan girl behind me who kept trying to separate Konayuki and I (My arm was around her waist so we would not lose each other) by constantly trying to bash her shoulder in between us trying to get us lose and push me away.

She tried it for quite a while and then became more violent by pulling the back of my hair out of frustration. Now I can't be bothered with pushing that much because if someone pushes I just push back but pulling hair is a different story So, when she grabbed my hair I totally smashed the back of my elbow right between her breasts onto her diaphragm. So hard I even felt it in my elbow but she asked for it. I can remember hearing a some coughing and then she pissed off I think.

And you don't even want me to tell you about Versailles first Europe tour 2007, Frankfurt. My legs were black and blue from the constant kicking I received in my knee cavities and the back of my legs ;D

Personally I hate this kind of behavior and I behave my self very well unless someone actually becomes nasty and physically hurts me on purpose.

EDIT: Sorry posted this before I saw flowers comment!

~Yeah I was talking about the artist-fan relation and not the fan-fan relation.
Sorry, this was my last off-topic post.

To return on topic, I hate Gackt ::gaku::

He passed out 5 to 6 times during the Munich live. You can read about it in his blog.

Why should he dust off songs he's "ignored" for years just because it's a tour in Europe?.. This question isn't only directed at you, just at members in general because I noticed lots of people being so focused on these old songs that don't fit YFC at all... I enjoyed all the rockers in the setlist, great choices and a great mix of "classic Gackt" and "Gackt of the NOW". I wish he'd left in White Eyes though!
He didn't pass out in Bochum, fortunately.. but you could tell he was very worn out.

Bochum was good, but I enjoyed the Japanese concerts more because the atmosphere and fan participation was better. People's level of support for Gackt seemed closer to mine in Japan, and I enjoyed talking to random people I met there, while I didn't feel the need to in Germany. It's probably the language barrier (my Japanese is way better than my German ::shifty:: ).

I hope he comes back soon, hopefully with a more grand-scale tour and surely a less rock-oriented setlist. He's said that starting next year, they'll be focusing a lot on overseas activity and promotion, which is all without doubt tied in with Bunraku hitting theaters. I'm sure he'll bring a setlist full of new songs and material that hasn't been released as of yet, so I'm looking forward to it. ::squee::

Talking 'bout myself, this has nothing to do about the Europe tour...
I think the YFC setlist is the weakest of all the tours he has made...
If I had seen the same show in Japan, I'd have thought the same thing...It doesn't mean it was bad, I love the rock side of Gackt just as much as his more ballads oriented stuff, but, talking about the recent material, I trully missed such great songs as "Father's day", or "No reason", songs that would fit in setlist perfectly...

But this discussion could go on and on, because in the end, it's a matter of personnal taste vs. artist's choice...I was a bit unsatisfied with the setlist, not with Gackt....

Well, one reason would be that it's not everyday Gackt has concerts in Europe....so why not do some old songs?
