Yeah, I didn't think it was that bad either. I liked the singing, it wasn't terrible or anything.

The singing part doesn't fit into the background music though, not sure how to explain it. I felt as if the singer was singing to a different song and not to what was playing in the background, if that makes sense. The background music sounded like a barrage of guitars and drums at some points...

It's fun to see Malice Mizer being covered though! It's like they're becoming some old classic band or something ::kisaki::

LOL you know what is funny? This was actually the first MM song I heard and the people showing it to me where like THIS IS JAPANESE METAL. ::meev:: They also played Bel Air and was like METAL LAURA IT'S METAL!

I like the cover :| Ain't gonna buy it though or download it either.

As a fan of D's I really liked it - I expected it to be a bit more whimsical and less metal but I think they pulled it off pretty well; I'd describe as 'D with a sprinkle of Malice Mizer' then combining both elements of the bands together though. But still, it was always going to be a hit-or-miss though.

This.

I wish the vocals could have been louder though since I really like the singing. (I only heard the youtube-upload posted earlier though, so it might not be that bad on CD though)

I think it turned out AMAZING!! How is this already out? I thought the album didn't come out until late January?

I'm surprised this leaked. It seems that the Yakuza leaders in the VK industry are pretty good at keeping it's music clamped down before it's released officially.

Asagi does a pretty good Gackt, all things considered. Everything else is all too overblown, I agree.

I LOVE THIS! ::squee:: it has very old school classic VK elements (without being boring) which i think is befitting of the CD. i would say maybe the full stops could have been a little crisper and cleaner but other than that a refreshing cover! the solo really screams out "D" ^^

I wish Hizaki Grace Project would have covered this XD

It's an interesting cover in that it sounds different from the original, but it wasn't exactly Malice's best song to begin with.

Yeah I thought this.

I dunno, I think at first it sounded acceptable to me but it was only because I was replaying the original in my head along with it. It's pretty bad.

I agree, I'm quite impressed with him actually. I thought he'd be more overly dramatic (I love that about him, but I'm not sure how well it would go with Gekka). I think the music is a bit too metal for the rather poppy vocals, but perhaps I'm just too used to the MM original.

Just heard it.

I don't know. It took me a little to analize what I was listening to. I did not like it. I totally agree with Claire about the "generic vk" sound.
Maybe it is mandatory different because of the fact that this two bands handle totally different genres, but this adaptation did not sound that good to me. Specially in the choruses and at the end. Too many unnecessary power chords.

Not to mention the awful vocals ::meev::
