I wish there was a music video for Teeth :( That song is so sexy.

Actually, there IS one, but it's Gay-Vampire-themed XD Just look for it on youtube, shouldn't be hard to find.
... a REAL music video, one that is official XD I saw the one you're talking about and it was... weird. ::gaku:: I'm not into whatever that was supposed to be.

@lamp: I don't know if I want to see a penis bitten off by a vagina ::meev::

Right when I saw that unicorn in the purple/pink V I thought of Charlie the Unicorn  But eesh, no matter how abstract I don't want to see any birthing scene :P

But I seriously loved the skeleton part where she's all jamming out and he was just standing there.

@the haters: The 60's sci-fi vibe and over-the-top gayness with purple triangles, unicorns and rainbows is just fucking fun. Why would you even try to take this seriously?

I was disappointed by the song at first because it's even more derivative than usual and it's not her best, but after seeing the video I think I get it. She doesn't give a fuck anymore, she's just having fun. And more power to her.

This is my favorite music video from her so far.

"In your songs I've found only four themes: 'I want to be famous', 'I want to be rich', 'I want to dance', 'I want to fuck' and all at the same time if possible." (Eric Naulleau to Lady Gaga)

Also, "I want to do copious amounts of sweet sweet cocaine."

edit: countdown until one of my oldest and once closest friends de-friends me on FB since I just dared to criticize his precious beloved Gaga (surprise, he's gay).

Same here! I don't mind the birth thing, but I wish the video had something to do with the song because I really like its message. It's like Alejandro all over again, but I like the Born This Way video more than that one.

Not her best video. It started so fucking epic, then it went downhill with that lame dancing....well, i was not surprised because the dancing for her Grammy presentation was lame also. What the hell?? She should stop dancing if she can't keep up, it is start to downgrade her videos/performances. The begining and the skeleton parts were cool, the rest was pretty meh. Can't beat Paparazzi, Telephone, Bad Romance , and Alejandro (i think this is her best one).

And, please, stop with the Madonna references, it's really getting annoying. That one shot at the end that she had her teeth just like Madonna's....just no, that was horrible.

I wouldn't have a problem with that but my friend seems to think that it's deeply meaningful and comes from a place of integrity. I think plenty of people think she in fact DOES give quite a fuck still.

Yeeeah. The song has a good message, but it's not like it's profound or anything and obviously the video is just corny and weird. Why can't people take things for what they are?

As for the dance critics, my opinion is that this song involves more actual singing than her past ones (like Poker Face). If she's supposed to dance and sing then let's cut her some slack. You know, unless you can even hold a candle to what she does.

I am not a performer, but she obiously can't sing and dance at the same time , or she will have to sacrifice one of them -- very few people can actually sing and dance well, like MJ at the peak of his career. I can give her a discount for the Grammy presentantion, because that was live, but not the clip. The dancing was rather boring and lame, felt out of place, and they even got some moves from the Grammy one. *facepalm*

Maybe it's because I dig old shitty scifi flicks, I really like the opening of the video but then it went straight downhill when y'know the shitty song started.

To ease the hatred of my new enemies, I will say that I liked the beginning part, until I saw she was giving birth to herself.

And the music is good, but the lyrics suck and ruin it for me.

i loved when she said mother monster, because before it was a really fucking embarrassing nickname her fans gave her and now it sort of fits into her make believe birthing a new race of monsters (the ugly face stuff, too) concept.

Growing up as a Godzilla dork I should have noticed that, but it's been ages. I thought of that Phantom Zone cube prison from Superman right after I finished thinking of Charlie the Unicorn.

the opening is the best part, after that it's downhill, agree. Except the part with the skeletons, i thought it was cool... it looks rather Fever Ray-ish.

Yeah, exactly. I don't care about that so much, but the fact that she's giving birth to herself really annoys me. It's like she thinks she's significant enough that other people want to be her because she is so "strong" or "unique" or whatever people want to call her. (which, I will admit, she kind of is significant [but only because people are retarded enough to want to be somebody else])

she isn't giving birth to herself, she is giving birth to a race of prejudice free humans... no? it's supposed to be highly idealised and humorous. also she is acting in her music video, i don't think you should take her giving birth to herself as anything egotistical.

she kind of flipped the "little monsters" term around now and i really like that. i really do think it's supposed to be humorous.
