Let's get another thread going on for the just released first (and hopefully not the last ) live DVD of Schwarz Stein.

It's a huge treat for us who couldn't go to the gig definitely.

Tracklist:
  1. Testament
  2. Perfect Garden
  3. Rise to Heaven
  4. Queen of Decadence
  5. GENUINE
  6. transient
  7. 黒揚羽
  8. beautiful the Virgin
  9. CREEPER
  10. Syphilis and Disorder
  11. Succubus
  12. Current
  13. New vogue children

I don't have too much to comment on it now other than it's absolutely amazing, too bad they didn't mix the audience in all the time so at times it sounds almost like a studio release.

Hora used different synthesizers for some of the older songs so some of them have changed quite a bit throughout the years, though the drum tracks are mostly still original.

I found a new respect to Kaya after seeing him outperform his own vocals in some of my favourite songs ever. The choreographies he put on were cute.

The image gallery included had some memorable photos too:

55:19 in length. They cut all the stuff between songs, though, so no MC or anything.

Sure, cut all of the songs from Recurrence apart from Genuine, arguably the worst song Hora's ever written ::hora::

The only song I would have been interested to hear live would have been Predict, but I don't get why they didn't just include the entire set.

And if the new songs were so worthless live why bother including any at all?

Even with some songs missing, I still think that was an amazing live, and I'm glad I got he DVD. I was puzzled it already arrived today, that was...fast.

Especially Hora is a treat to watch, being absolutely unimpressed by everything going on around him

黒揚羽 and Kaya's "sign language" during Hora's shouting in Creeper surely are highlights :D

Great review. Can't wait for my copy to arrive, but I know it's gonna take 2 weeks as usual. It was shipped on december 28th.

Anyway, I have some questions. It comes with a menu and stuff? and what about the recording? is it a still camera focused on the scenery? or is the camera moving and all?. Either way, I'll be very excited watching this. I need to listen to current and perfect garden!!!! and Kuro Ageha.

if somebody rips and want to share... I have enough free space in my pm box for a link

...The DVD's too pretty to open...so I'd be forever greatful if someone ripped it ::meev:: Or I'll just wait until someone puts it up on youtube.

But those are the two better tracks from the new EP. GENUINE is definitely not one of my favourites ::hora::

There's a very minimal menu with play all, track selection and access to the picture gallery. I've seen quite a few live recordings both straight to TV and few ones on DVD and I have pretty much nothing to complain about this. The camera angle changes to show both Kaya and Hora respectively to some wider shots and all of that is done without any erratic movement (except during 黒揚羽, but I think that was planned that way anyway). Overall I think it's pretty well cut (except for leaving the two good new tracks out ).

No email whatsoever.

I'd still suggest you guys to buy this if you can find anything to spare, I think it's a great show and Hora and Kaya definitely deserve the money.

Kaya was a bit out of breath during Hypnos and Sirius so I am not surprised they were cut out, but I wonder why also Predict was left out..
