Got mine. The song is pretty different from what I'm used to, though his latest album is in similar style I suppose. I'm totally enjoying the second song better, though.
Kaya really does have a habit of putting the better songs as B-sides I find (Remains of Mind, Pourriture noble etc.).

...Perverse rendezvous, Sink, Rose Kingdom, etc ;)

PS: I'm happy with the new single, at least it's much better than Carmilla, can't compare to other songs tho, since it's HIZAKI and not KALM, Hora or whoever else XD

Yeah, I'm enjoying the second song better but both aren't my favorites or anything XD

I think it's because of HIZAKI. He has this tendency to draw out songs and put so much into them, especially so much of the same things, that they all sound similar and unmemorable. I want Kaya to keep working with KALM and Hora XD HIZAKI's "Carmilla" wasn't bad, but I think it's because he stuck with more electronic sounds and didn't infuse the song with guitar riffs, a choir, guitar solos, and blablabla. I donno what he's getting at, but it's like he's trying to be epic and dramatic or something ::meev::

Maybe I'm only irked since I've listened to so many of HIZAKI's songs over the years (because I was a fan) that I've noticed them mostly having the same sound patterns after a while, save for a few songs. I love Kaya's voice in Curse of Rose though.

Sadly KALM is kinda out of the loop and hasn't updated his blog for a few months now, maybe he's gone on a trip or something like that, but I really hope he keeps working with Kaya since he's my favourite composer and really fits into the 'Gothic' concept Kaya is working this year.
And well... Hora has always been 'on and off' with Kaya's project, but I want to hear some more songs written by him too!

Oh thank you, my bad! He's got new demos up too, omg I can't wait to get back home and listen to them, well I hope he's been working with Kaya then, since he's 'alive' XP
I'm happy to discover he wrote Kagami Oni and Kugutsu, those songs were too good to not having been created by him tho, but why does he say he composed Ophelia? Guess it's just a mistake XD

OMG, he's made most of my favorite songs! :D And he made Sugar Rose and I've had that song stuck in my head all day, and I keep singing to myself, "Sawatte motto onegai darling" (watashi dake o mite) Seriously, I love the lyrics to that song.

So KALM has made:

Kaleidoscope
Remains of Mind
Masquerade
Kagami Oni
Kugutsu
Awilda
Ouka
Ryouran
Paradise Lost
Hydrangea
Psycho Butterfly
Rose Kingdom
Sink

and I donno what else, if I'm correct so far.

This website is really nice!

Hora made Chocolat. He made Ophelia too, in case you were wondering. He also did Pourriture Noble, Rose Jail, Transmigration, Addict, Medusiana and other ones XD It's interesting how Kaya has so many people writing songs for him. Hora, Hiro, Misa, HIZAKI, Kalm, TAKUMI, that other guy, etc...

BTW, did you like Kaya's chanson album? I never bothered listening to it ::kisaki::

I'm not sure right now because I'm not at home and can't check it but while Ouka was actually written by KALM, Ryouran wasn't, I recall reading "Kei Suzuki", but I'll check later to make sure!

@PureElegance you should give Bonjour! Chanson at least a listen! I think he does great in Padam Padam and the others are quite decent, although Je te veux is weeeaaak XP
KALM's compositions are my favourite too, I love that genius so much!

Finally I got Vampire Requiem as I ordered it long time ago and the first package got lost somewhere...

I must say I prefer A side, as I'm more into electronic beats and stuff. However, I liked B side too but not enjoyed it as much as Vampire Requiem.

What really surprised me was the quality of production of the cd. It's very poor. And I must say maybe I like it because it could mean Kaya doesn't wanna spend that much in singles productions, as that gothic movement thing has many releases, and finally, he wants to present a bold production meaning an album or something worthing to invest on.

I checked Joysound Karaoke to see if they have any Kaya and they only have Vampire Requiem and Transmigration... (Some places in Japan had Walkure and just about every place I've ever been has Glitter Arch)
