^Geisha how are your journey plans going?

I have my hotel room, got my day off, saved some money and now I am searching Japanese shops and restaurants which are open on Sunday and Monday.

Btw D will release a new single. I hope they will sell it at the concert because it is not available at CD Japan. Damn it really starts to annoy me.

Btw how much does a single with PV cost at the concert (approximately)?

I'm all set. I'm planning to be at the hall from around 6pm.

I think the new single will come to CD Japan eventually since D say on their website that it will be available in regular shops. It's up for pre-order at HMV and Amazon, but I'm waiting to see if CDJ or MJP will offer bonus stuff before I order. And yes, they may sell it at the live. They recorded a video message for the European tour wearing the new costumes:

I love Tsune's look and the forest of tulle roses on Asagi's shoulders. ::squee::

Hmm, the (short) preview on their website didn't exactly wow me, but then this is a theme song for a mainstream TV show, so I didn't expect anything revolutionary. In fact, I'm relieved. I had feared something like Day by Day, but from what I can tell it reminds me of In the name of Justice or Tightrope. Not my favourite incarnation of D, but certainly not the worst.

I'm sorry, I can't remember how much I paid for my Ouka saki single - £25 perhaps?

(^^)b
I will go to to my hotel and put my stuff there, then I will go and have some food, search the venue (I like to know where I have to go first in oreder to avoid being late (^^;) and then I will stay in a cafe. I will go there arround 6 as well I guess.

Nice. I hope so. I will try and buy the CDs I have missed because they were live only. The problem with D is that their Bandname is horrific to search on sites like rakuten.

Thanks for the link. ^^ Is it me or is Hiroki a bit bored or tired? ::kisaki::

As long as it is not Day By Day2 I will be fine with the new CD. (It was kinda the longest Mac spot I've ever seen).

The new single is up for pre-order at CD Japan now! :D

I'll wait a little longer until MJP gets it since they work closely with D (they'll run D's international FC), so perhaps they'll have some special deal.

Totally agree. It looks really pretty as a logo and, of course, they have a nice explanation as to why they chose it, but having a single letter band name isn't very practical. You can't even start a tweet with "D" because Twitter thinks you're trying to send a DM.

@ Geisha Awsome. Thanks a lot. I checked CDJapan yesterday but it wasn't up.

It is cheaper than I thought. I will ask my mum whether she will put it on my list for my birthday presents. Gonna order it with the new (recycle) Penicillin CD.

I also wasn't to blown away by the preview, but I guess there is always hope for the B-sides.

What I'm worried about more is the behaviour of the fans this time, because of the Q&A as well as the annouced "Photo with the whole audience" before the show - I am sure some people will try to get to the front, no matter the cost.

Good thing I don't mind being in the back anyway

Was it bad in Europe last year? The audience in London was very civilised, but then they're usually more polite than their continental cousins, lol.

Which live are you going to?

I couldn't go to D last year, but I have been to enough other concerts to know that some people loose every form of control when it come to "being on a picture with the band"; and stuff.

I was actually really surprised how civilized at least the Kaya-fans behaved this year, that was refreshing.

I'm going to Amsterdam, that's the only one that works out with work for me.

Well, D, like Kaya, MdM and Versailles, don't seem to attract the kind of hysterical fans that give Jrock a bad name. So perhaps it won't be so bad after all. I think the memorial photo is a nice idea since fans usually aren't allowed to take pics, much less post them on their FB or blogs.

Is that the live at Melkweg? If so, I'm going there too. :)

Luckily - it has been some time since I have been to the concert of a different Jrock band, but I still expect the worst at times.

Yes, that's the one (I have no clue why I wrote Utrecht when it's Amsterdam; I edited it.) I'll definately have to say hello then :D

Who knows, it could still be terrible, haha! I only have London to go by, but people seemed to have a lot of respect for them and didn't try to grab them and tear their clothes off. In fact, the band was doing most of the touching, constantly shaking hands and so on. I hope they'll be able to get so comfortable with their fans again this time.

Yeah, we definitely should say hi! :) I'll probably be somewhere at the back too because I'll come late and may be with a friend who isn't a fan.

I LOVE when bands do this. Most of my favorite shows in Japan ended with the members leaning off the stage and giving high/low fives to the audience members. I'm not really a fan of D, but I think that it's remarkable and admirable that, even though they are doing so well and are so well known in the VK scene (and are even on a major label like Avex!), they still interact with their fans at such a personal level and haven't distanced themselves like many artists tend to do when they make it big.

I can only speak for Kaya and Versailles for this year and the last, and both was pretty okay, I have seen far worse  I heard the D concerts were good to, so I'll just hope for the best.

I'm sure we can find each other - we will also be late, I'm going with two friends from the Netherlands who still have university that day, and since we don't plan on waiting in line for hours, or to push through, we'll most likely be in the back.

I really like it when bands are still keeping contact with their hands, like audience contact, or even the meet and greets for everyone, whereas other bands demand horrendous sums for it.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised. I would have expected a major band (they're not major anymore, but back then they were) with a bunch of CDs in the Oricon Top 10 to be a bit more aloof or at least wary of over-zealous fangirls, but they're one of the sweetest bands I've met. And one of the most powerful live bands too.

Cool, I look forward to it! :D

Edit: b-sides and longer PV preview for the new single are up on D's website:

http://www.d-gcr.com/discography/discography.html

I really like Eveの系譜 and 灰の雪. Now I'm reconciled with this release.

Ugh, top of page.

Hm is it strange if I do not want to have a picture with the guys from D? I am not a big fan of those photos.

I guess I just stay in the back after the Q&A session (or I go to the Merch stuff and try to buy the CDs I still don't have. ::kisaki:: )

Anyone bought the new single Rosenstrauss? At first when I saw the preview of the PV I felt like it was just one of those random D songs (I feel like they're very hit or miss) but I watched the whole PV today and Rosenstrauss is really good. And I listened to amazon's previews of the other songs and kurenai sounds really interesting :3 I'm starting to feel tempted to buy the single ::squee::
