More information from the hullaballoo room Help page:

-Registration to the website is free.
-Payment is by credit card
-Songs are 105yen each. Full setlists of each show are 1575yen.
-Downloads of each show will be available within a week of the performance.

I'm going to attempt to download the first show as soon as it's available for purchase and detail the process for anyone else interested in supporting them. Hopefully being that it's a credit card only purchase system they won't restrict people outside of Japan from buying.

Update 2012/06/23:
The first two nights have been posted and it's so ridiculously easy to purchase them that I did so in a matter of 30 seconds from the time I added the full setlist to the cart to the time I started downloading them.

The only downside is that it's in mp3 format! They really need to learn about flacs. Will post some screenshots to highlight the process.

What a tease! While most of the Zigzo tour has seen the band playing the same setlist of classics from their past catalogue with just the new song Decade, the first of three nights in Shinjuku on June 29th had the band delivering 7 or possibly 13 new songs according to some twitter postings!

This means a new album will surely be coming out!
Another Zigzo one-man 'The Battle of Love' on October 25th was announced as well. Could this be the name of the new album too?

Some (unverified) new song titles:
「残響」「medicine man」「I’m in love」「Hello I love you」

For once I'm using twitter with some sort of purpose!

Zigzo fans, if you buy any lives get the shows the 3 Days at Shinjuku!

Does this mean you can or should buy 3 different shows? Is it expensive? Can you use your credit card? Paypal?

Their website lets you buy each concert for 1575yen (approx. $20 USD) or 105 yen per song (approx. $1.25 USD). This will vary depending on the exchange rate and other fees added by your credit card company. The website does not offer Paypal purchasing.

The last three shows of the 2nd scene tour are in Shinjuku and the first night that just happened contains many new songs. I was suggesting that people buy one of these three shows (or all of them like I will be doing) since presumably the remaining two shows will have them performing the new songs or other tracks they rarely do. I'm hoping they perform fukai mori ni ita which is my favorite Zigzo song that has never seen on any past lives officially released.

Thanks a lot for the info!

I'll buy the first of the 3 shows, and see how I like it. But I doubt I don't!

The last three shows on the Zigzo 2nd Scene Tour have just been posting and I've taken screenshots of how to go about signing up, purchasing and downloading from the website:

Turns out there was 7 new songs during the 6/29 show.
About to listen to them now....

Thanks a lot for your kind help, cardy!

Would you mind telling me if it's worth buying all 3, because I'm hesitating right now? Sakura seemed very happy with the Fukuoka gig, so I was tempted to buy that too.

I hadn't seen his comments but I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

The June 29th show 'Decades' has the new songs.

June 30th show has a few rarer tracks (fukai mori, mou nidoto aenai, kurayami sunglass, everlast, call me, and I say yeah) they rarely play anymore.

And pretty much every other show has the same setlist so if you're not looking for the two aforementioned things (new songs or rare songs) then I would go with fukuoka since Sakura has spoken well of it. I didn't buy that show and can't compare performance quality.

Zigzo just announced their new album 'The Battle of Love' just a few minutes ago. And what's even better news is that the webpage says it's Part 1 of their revival! Whether this means there is another album in the works or not is unknown but the fact that they mentioned it has 'dai 1 dan' could imply more surprises.

The first new track 'Decade' was an okay way to summarize their mood and return but the song wasn't anything special. The new tracks performed at their 6/29 live are pretty damn good and up to par with past Zigzo classics. It's gonna be a wonderful day soon!

Current song titles:

・Day By Day
・アドレナリン ドライブ
・I Cult You
・SUPER CHARGER STAR
・Medeicine Man
・炎は青く揺れる
・I’m in Love
・Hello, I Love You
他 全12曲

Yes, he's still doing live shows for JJA and nil occasionally but he's not actively recording/writing songs for those acts right now. He, and the rest of the band, are pretty much focused on Zigzo now. Sakura just withdrew from Creature Creature which I find disappointing since he was a good fit in that band and they're on the cusp of their third album.

Considering they decided to reunite Zigzo in June of 2011, they all gave themselves time to focus and wrap up their own projects before really getting started on this 2nd scene. Tetsu did JJA's Edelweiss and Den/Ryo revived By-Sex and released Test-No's first full album, and Sakura has been working in a multitude of bands (Creature Creature, Rayflower, aie/Sakura).

Basically it's no rush-job which will hopefully lead to better songwriting, it seems to be the case after hearing all of the new songs. It's all reminiscent of how they first started. They formed in mid 1998 and rehearsed for the rest of the year, did a teaser live in April of 99 and debuted hard with lives and singles in July of that year.

That's really cool that it's an actual revival, not a comeback tour where they just play old classics and a few shoddy new songs! All the members seem really into it, and their live videos of past shows are really fun to watch, so I'm hoping for big things from this group! I never really listened to them when they first started, and I'm a bit sorry I was so late getting into them...

I'm really glad that JJA is still going strong though because, though I really like Zigzo, I think I like JJA a bit more. I was worried that they were going to break up, but I'm relieved that they're still going onward =)

But yeah, go Tetsu, releasing 2 original albums in one year! Now if Nil puts out an album... ::shifty::

Also, today, the new PV for their first single of the album, 「I'm in Love」, was launched on YouTube.

Here.

It looks really low-budget, but still pretty cool.
Also WTF with Tetsu's glittery lips at the end? hahahaha

It's been a while since I flooded this place with Zigzo happenings. So here you are:

Zigzo's The Battle of Love is a great album. If you like, or love, Zigzo already this will just please you to no end like it has for me.
Furthermore, Ryo has been credited as co-songwriter with Tetsu for most of these tracks and I think it's been for the better. The songs feel stronger and more fleshed out, the second guitar adding more Oomph and also allowing Tetsu to focus on his lyrics and singing. Ryo has provided more backing vocals to this album as well.

Last year's By-Sex reunion album with Den, Ryo and Sakura was pretty much a Zigzo warmup since Tetsu was committed to JuneJulyAugust. By-Sex's ago was all written by Ryo and it's fantastic. I was never a fan of By-Sexual's slapstick qualities and Test-No. was hit or miss, mainly cause Den wrote some clunkers, and By-Sex's reunion album was quite a treat, but I treat it like a companion album to Zigzo's The Battle of Love. I got my copy off yesasia: http://www.yesasia.com/global/ago-first ... /info.html

So yes, The Battle of Love is great. Support them, will ya!
New Song 4 from their 6/29 live is a new song that never made it to the album so if you're itching for some more Zigzo, there you go.

Recently announced was an audio recording of their 10/25 The Battle of Love one-man through the zigzo.net website.

A documentary DVD called ‘Beyond the Moment’ will be sold at the upcoming 2013 tour and will chronicle Zigzo’s surprise comeback live at Sakura’s 2011 birthday event and their 2012 tour and album recording. This DVD will most likely be sold at their webstore after the tour is over so don't stress about finding it yet.

I’m unsure if this 3 DVD boxset will include the album release live from 10/25 (being sold as audio-only off the official site) but I’m guessing it will since 3 DVDs of documentary footage will be just overkill and probably boring to watch.

Also, starting Christmas Day, Zigzo and the music news site natalie will exclusively offer the studio recorded version of ‘Decade’ as a free download until the end of the year. This was recorded around March or April and only heard via radio broadcasts which leaked onto youtube. There have been no plans to release this song on CD. http://natalie.mu/music/pp/zigzo

Direct Download Links:

https://s3-ap-northeast-1.amazonaws.com ... DECADE.mp3

And there’s also a new opening page movie (in annoying Quicktime format) showing off some of Toshihiko Imai’s amazing camera work. The track being used is a live version ofThe Battle of Love’s closing track ‘madamada’ from their 10/25 gig most likely.

I usually find it cheap and easy to make something look arty by using black and white but his work seems to transcend the gimmickry.

And then, since I didn't post it here. Zigzo did an album release live on 2012-10-10 and broadcasted it simultaneously on niconico.
I ripped the stream and made it in a tidy mp4 file:
