I saw them when they came to Seattle~ It was a magical night ^___^

Matenrou Opera - Kassai to Gekijou no Gloria

I'm surprised this band never really took off to the extent that Versailles did. Even though the vocalist randomly sounds like he's standing on a washing machine when he sings because of his vibratto, I think their song writing is just... better. And more symphonic.

[EDIT] I want to hear Klaha singing this song... ::squee:: Not even joking~

A kind of different version, but I love it too.

Oh my childhood XD I sent it to my friend and she said she was expecting a children's song, she then said, "but i guess this is a miami beach child's song." ::batsu:: I remember thinking this song was so romantic, especially the lyrics and the two singers, when I heard it on my way to school. It totally takes me back!

I'm also SO in love with Mr. Vasovski's remix of Treasure Finger's "Take My Hand" (which samples a disco song from 1979, the best disco year!) Gah, I love house music! They both made the song so much cooler than it already was :D

After years of 'forgetting' about this band:

Moi Dix Mois - "Detresse"

Perfect, considering my currently mental instable condition <3

Diana Vickers - Music to Make the Boys Cry

Heard this at Forever21 as I was in the dressing room! ::squee:: I loved it and even learned the lyrics as I was changing. Some girls wanna dance in the spotlight, some girls just kiss and tell, some girls want a movie moment, waiting by the wishing well, don't need to make you love me, I got myself and I want to make music to make the boys cry. It's so terribly catchy XD

I also loved Mike Posner's "Cooler than Me," what a cool song :D

Does anyone know about the singer Taco? He's kind of awesome.

Here's his version of "Puttin on the Ritz."

After listening to a lot of ragtime and classical music, my friend was like, "You have to check this out" and we all ended up dancing to it with umbrellas. Now I'm addicted. It gets weirder as it goes on.

He dances so smoothly though, TBH. I really admire how... graceful he is XD I love flamboyant men! He dances really weirdly and it's so 1980s, but I love how he uses that cane!

It was his one claim to fame and he still plays that song ::meev::

Another AMAZING song I got from the same person XD "Puttin on the Ritz" by Taco is now on my phone.

Boney M - Rasputin

This is from 1978 and it's a disco song from a German-based group that my mom never even heard of or doesn't remember. She thought it was another one of my communist songs. At first it sounded kind of Russian in a cool way, but when the strings came in I knew it was disco! They sing about Rasputin's wonderful life and what a great lover and sexy man he was (I'm paraphrasing). It's actually pretty groovy though, I really like it.

I kind of have to laugh at the singer with an afro wearing a long Rasputin-ish beard ::meev:: It's so long and he looks so serious in it, singing with a deep smooth voice XD They're all wearing the cassock outfits too and in front of St. Basil's Cathedral they're dancing in fur coats XD

RA RA RASPUTIN
Lover of the Russian queen
There was a cat that really was gone
RA RA RASPUTIN
Russia's greatest love machine
It was a shame how he carried on
Wow XD Most of it is pretty accurate though when it comes to his death!
