I had a pretty damn creepy dream yesterday lol

I was in Nashua NH and met some people I apparently kind of knew. They were staying in the mall and upset because the hotel that was randomly in the mall (the pheasant lane ha been replaced with a mall from one of my other dreams with hotels in it) kicked them out of the bar. So I suggested they get a taxi and go to a club I knew, which I had been to in another dream. So I looked it up online and thought I'd found it, but when we got there there was just a dirt path leading into the forest to get to it. It wasn't the club. So they turned into dogs and I sat on one of their backs and we were going through the forest to the new club when I heard howling and something running towards us. I panic-ed because I thought it was a wild wolf, but as it got closer it stopped and I realized it was a saint bernard or something. So I held out my hand and said, "It's alright. It's alright." The dog came over and started licking my hand. Then the moon shone on it's face and it had a human face...and it was just sitting there licking my hand. It said, "Don't go there," so I didn't.

Creepy. I also found it strange that I was referring to other dreams in my dream. Like I had my own dream world. Does that happen to other people?

Ok, I decided to decline the offer of the hotel. I actually was about to sign the contract but then I somehow saw a bus, heading to Tokyo and constantly wondered how many times I can ago there, when I work for the hotel. After a while of thinking I decided to go to Tokyo and try to find work there.

If I cannot find a job within two months I will go to Okinawa and work there.

Has anyone ever lived in a Sakura house? I heared everything. Some people say it is a horrific place to stay, others like it.

Is 42.000 yen for a shared flat (2 people room, including all bills expect of 30.000 yen deposit) in Tokyo expensive?

I dunno, Tokyo's a big place. The real question is, is 42000Y the best deal you can get for that size and location? And is the place any good?
Here in New York $420/month would probably only get you "House of Flying Bullets". It's probably not quite so bad there XD

@Faith: yeah, I've had that thing where I reference other dreams within a dream too.

Waiting to get on my flight to Japan. Woohoo 12 hour flight.

I'm really glad your interview went well :D congrats ! (that's a nice compliment you got :))
I'm also glad your trip in China seems to continue being awesome :D
Aw thank you Lempicka!!! :D My life here in China is pretty great ^__^ At orientation they said that you'd have a honeymoon period and then you'd fall into depression and homesickness, I don't think it applies to me XD My friend said that it's because I'm not afraid to go out there and not afraid to perhaps make a fool out of myself, you know what I mean, haha. She noticed how happy I am! That was nice of her to say! :D

HI GUYS

Man, what a day! First I climbed the Great Wall, which is SO amazing! I still don't believe that I did that! My tour guide, who is such a nice lady, was telling us that Mao said that if you don't see the Great Wall then you don't see China, or something, and I think that's so true! I love Shanghai, but Beijing has so much history and when I saw the Great Wall it was all BAM CHINA, haha. My thighs are sore, but it was so cool going up the steep steps and taking pit stops on the way. It's actually not bad though if you rest along the way and I would've gone further if I had more time. As you can see I got a gold medal for my heroics. I still can't believe I've been to the Great Wall of China, holy toledo.

I highly suggest going in the morning since we were basically alone at the wall for hours, which is a really cool feeling, let me tell you! My mom and I had a great day.

Then we were treated to a lunch in a village, which was really yummy! Also a great, long foot/leg message, which was intense. Took a spontaneous rickshaw ride with a really kind man who took us to our hotel because we didn't know where we were. We crossed beautiful lakes and buildings! We then went to a Peking Opera show, and it was a lot of fun! I love Chinese opera. For dinner I took my mom to have Peking Duck at the best Peking Duck place here in Beijing! It was delicious and I'll highly recommend Dadong's duck to anyone visiting!

Wow, I still can't believe I did all that in one day :D Tomorrow I'm off to the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square (including Mao's mausoleum! YES!), and the Summer Palace before I'm off to Shanghai again and then Chengdu to complete my dream. I miss Shanghai. I like Beijing a lot, it's pretty different and the people are super friendly, but Shanghai's where my heart is I guess XD I'll have to spend more time in Beijing, definitely!

@ Flowers hm I have no idea to be honest. I guess I just rent it for two months and try to find something else. Cannot be worse than the place where I lived in Germany for one year, while studying. It was above a bar, in the evenings you heared people scream, prostitutes were running around and in the morning you had to be careful not to fall over a drunk dude or a homeless person. ::meev::

But I guess it is still better than that:
http://www1.odn.ne.jp/clib/ seriously, I do not want to spend a lot of money, but that is ridiculous. ::meev::

but hey, 18000 Yen, refundable deposit, room for myself and internet
http://www.tokyoroomfinder.com/view/gue ... tsugi-crib
all I need

At the moment I am in a guest house/dorm with a drunken girl from Finnland and a guy from Serbia (others still to come). It is still in the making and people working around us in order to get it fixed.

It costs 24000 yen in the first month and the deposit is 10000 yen, 5000 of them are refundable. The next month will cost about 33000 yen.

I might have a look at the Yotsugi Crib next week and move there just for fun if I cannot find something else next month ::meev::

To be completely honest I would live there, if it weren't for my kitties and boxes of clothes. I love meeting new people like that and who needs windows? ::meev::

Actually, I need windows. But I think I'd be ok with it for a year or so.
If I do move to Japan and need someplace to stay while I'm looking for a pet-friendly flat I might ask a friend to take my cats and crash there for a month...and just hope Stinky Kitty doesn't eat their wire appliances and get poo all over the floor...(ugh I love her but she was a mistake)

^ faith it is nice and interesting to stay here(my last room mate was a female Japanese in her early 40s that constantly talked to herself, watched telly from sunrise to sunset and shaved in our room :P )

Well, the clothes are a problem I guess. I only have a bed for myself. It looks kinda like a prison bedding. It is only a wooden bar, which is seperated and has a matress on it. XD

I dunno, I'd be hesitant to move into that volatile mix of grungy backpackers and seething resentful economic victims XD

ORLY, where are you going? Tokyo or elsewhere?

We're in Tokyo. We're also going to Kyoto for a day.

That flight, plus the wait to go through immigration, plus the wait for the bus, then the 1.5 hour drive from the airport to the hotel in Tokyo... what a shit day yesterday was.

My parents are putting my dog down. I won't even get a chance to see her again before they do it.

I just want to curl up in a ball right now.

@Iska: Here at this hotel I've been watching a lot of NHK and Japan is so pretty! The channel puts on so many shows about old people, they're bittersweet. I'd like to visit the small villages some time and the castles. I wonder if they have any from Genji's time XD

I just saw one about the cherry trees in Japan. Wow, it's like the entire country revolves around the season or something. I've never seen so much love for a tree or seen a tree be so important!

Aw I'm so sorry Berserk :( Sorry, but is she sick? :( I never really had a pet as long as yours, but I know how it feels like to have a pet die and not being able to be around. At least for me, I felt terrible and I also didn't feel as if I had any closure because I was in New York when Baby Jones suddenly died. I was making plans to bring him with me but he died. Ugh, I still get emotional over that. Anyway, I hope you feel better some time. At least you had good memories with her and that she had someone who really cares about her like you!

I actually saw Mao Zedong's body @_@ He looked as if he died yesterday! My mom and I were the only foreigners in the place, we bought some flowers since everyone else was, and everyone was bowing and leaving flowers at his statue. There were so many flowers! It was a really interesting experience since practically all of China was in line, young and old, and we were in the middle of it. My private tour guide told us that when the Chinese come to Beijing, the first thing they do is visit his body. @.@

Today I became an early 20th century Chinese rich mob man in a photoshoot XD (my mom and I also became soldiers on a motorcycle) I had the cane, cigar, rickshaw, glasses, fan, hat, clothes, scarf, and a gun. People thought I looked really cool since girls usually dress up as girls in the qipao but I was all, "No I want to be the man." The photos came out SO COOL OMG.

Oh man, an interview with 3 NYU deans and the couple who endowed the scholarship that I'm a finalist for :B Sounds intense!! I can do this!

I got the LatinoJustice internship ^____^ I couldn't believe it when I got the formal offer email :D

@PE: Yeah, she's been having hip problems for a couple years now. Her condition has deteriorated to the point that she can't climb up or down stairs without falling down and hurting herself, and she has no control over her bowels anymore which she feels ashamed about (and which is really hard on everyone to have to clean up after all the time). It won't do anyone any good to drag out the misery, but it's just so unexpected. Her condition wasn't this bad even a month ago, so the last time I saw her it never even crossed my mind that it could be the last time I ever saw her again.

My first dog, Tank, was killed in a car accident on my 13th birthday. My Dad brought Mocha home from a doberman rescue program the following Spring. So she's been with me for some of the most important years of my life. It's just really hard losing her right now, three weeks before I graduate college and while I'm so busy with school, my internship, and trying to find a job. Thanks for the condolences.

Good luck with your scholarship interview! I'm sure you'll do great!

You should also read this article about embalming Mao's body XD

I know what you mean :( She sounds like she's really sick though >_< It's strange how animals have these types of problems that you'd normally attribute to people, but they have all these things that can go wrong too.

Wow, I'm sorry about Tank! :( My dad's little boxer Caco died that way and he STILL can't even talk about it years later since that dog went with him everywhere when he was young. And ugh, I don't even know what to say since she's been with you for like ~10 years! It's really too bad that you were so close to graduating and maybe coming home. Sorry again :(

Good luck with your job search and graduation though!! Holy toledo, I feel as if we're all moving forward with our lives, haha.

Good luck with your scholarship interview! I'm sure you'll do great!
Aw thanks! It'll be at 3:30 in the morning for me because of the time difference XD *grumbles* Seriously ::meev::

I'm so happy about my internship over the summer though! :D I mean, wow! I wasn't even going to apply at first because they only wanted law students, but I went for it anyway and now I'm totally in :B So weird how things work. It'll be one of those actual internships too and not just killing time, which is great because I want to get more involved with Latin American things :3

You should also read this article about embalming Mao's body XD
This was awesome XD "Soviet embalming techniques were far more advanced than China's." -- that made me laugh, as if they had mastered the art of embalming leaders or something. I didn't get the part about the elevator though, his body is in a coffin-like thing and is surrounded by glass. Also, I knew that Mao wanted to be cremated and I still think it's weird that they didn't follow his wishes. It's cool that he's there, but I wonder why they made that decision in the first place.

At the Great Wall, there were giant letters written by white stones on a hill saying "be loyal to Mao Zedong," right next to the Wall XD

Something I noticed here, going to all these historical/tourist sites, is how many Chinese visit them. They go to places like the Summer Palace and the Forbidden City, and do all the tourist things even though they live there. They actually make up the majority of people at these places! I mean, I know New Yorkers who haven't even gone to the Statue of Liberty.

If you're in Beijing, I hope you pay a visit to the Eunuch Museum.. http://gorgeousbrian.blogspot.sg/2012/0 ... useum.html

The last time I went to Shanghai (with my school) I couldn't enjoy myself AT ALL because the air was so polluted. My whole face dried up and my lips were cracking and I felt really bad.

I hope you have lots of xiaolongbao. I can't believe I missed that the last time I went.

@Beserk I am so sorry to hear about your dog. The last time the vet told me that my dog had cancer I felt so awful inside. She managed to survive that though. My condolences.

@Berserk - me too. Tout mes condoléances...if my Michapi were to die.....ugh. I'd have to die too.

So I was watching Supersize vs Superskinny just cause I have NO WORK to do, and it was amazing! Skinny or chubby, none of those people eat any vegetables :/ I don't know how people manage to live like that. Veggies and coffee are the greater part of my diet.
