Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella - Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful

I can't wait to finally see the musical next month because I love the music ::squee:: Especially the 1950s Julie Andrews version, wah~
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PV9H_PLVyMs

She's just so cute in this song too and I love her and the prince's voice. The line "Are you the sweet invention of a lover's dream, or are you really as wonderful as you seem" is genius *sniff*

Don't even get me started on "Ten Minutes Ago." THAT SONG IS ADORABLE.
Prince: I have found her, she's an angel, with the dust of the stars in her eyes. We are dancing, we are flying, and she's taking me back to the skies!
Cinderella: In the arms of my love I'm flying, over mountain and meadow and glen. And I like it so well that for all I can tell I may never come down again.
Both: I may never come down to earth again.

So cute. Help.

Cerceaux showed me this GREAT song XD

Hey – you, who’s wearing the suit, Shanghai Boy
Why can’t I see you
when I open my eyes
You are a love that I’ve felt for the first time
It may be a dream but I am yours
No matter how much I miss you, it’s not that easy
What should I do? I guess I need to forget you
I try to forget you but it’s not that easy
You keep appearing, I keep seeing you in my dreams
Sha sha sha oh! You are my Shanghai love,
you keep appearing
Baby sha sha sha, what’s with you –
you keep making me cry
Sha sha sha – you make my heart
pound today again
Baby sha sha sha oh! My shanghai love,
you have such attitude

Dir en Grey - Merciless Cult

I love how in the comment there's some person who was like "Ai shite kudasai" OMG OMG OMG
And not only was that probably the only Japanese they know, but it's a social critique not Kyo being like, "Oh little bangyaru love me!!!" I assume.

What? But come on, they have ATTITUDE! This is the '90s, and attitude is where it's at.

And I still say, go check out some of the older Dir en grey stuff.

That's a GREAT song. I sent it to my friend because it reminded me of us and she said, "That song is way too accurate O.O" XD I KNOW, I KNOW~

My friend from Shanghai said that Shanghainese men have a reputation for getting married and staying the same way they were during courtship. So they're not all the same :P

So I went all out and listened to the old Dir en Grey. I actually don't like it much, most of it. Must be why I never got into them before. But to make it worse now it has that extra flavor of "old vis kei that isn't quite old enough to be X Japan". I really do prefer their new stuff. Like, I grew out of it and into whatever.

Sorry, it's a french song and an emotional one. I was just thinking about my childhood . My mum danced with me in her arms while she was listening to that singer. The recent events in Belgium reminded me a lot of my childhood. Sorry ;-)

Qui oserait encore écrire et chanter un tel texte aujourd'hui? Et pourtant...

On repeat for hours. I hope Kisaki (as well as Mana) goes into making soundtracks for anime/video games.

I was listening to this song for the first time today on my mp3, and it caught me by surprise. It's been a long long time since I last felt like crying listening to a song. Best songwriter we've had in a long long time.

Blind Guardian - And Then There Was Silence (Live)

Oh man, this was the second heavy metal band that I ever heard~ This is such an incredible song! Blind Guardian is so much better live than they are on their studio releases (which is saying a lot because the studio releases are fantastic!)
