Kiryuu - Kyuubi

I tried Kiryuu out 2 years ago, hopefull they would play awesome rock with traditional japanese instruments added, but I was very disapointed... BUT I came across a preveiw of their latest single some nights ago and I instantly fell in love with this. So awesome ;_;

Just found out they released the full MP3s for:
ELITE THE MUSICAL
http://www.iancgbell.clara.net/elite/musical/book.htm

"Assassin's Touch" and "Sniff of exotic" are the best new tracks. Some of the others are pretty lame, but I guess when you're this avant-garde it can be hit-or-miss.

Madonna - Devil Pray

Tomorrow's Madonnas stop in Stockholm, (for the first time ever!!) so I'm preparing :P
To be honest I'm very disapointed in her music since years back (I'm one of those who acctually prefers her Erotica to Ray of Light period), Rebel Heart was okey, better than MDNA but not that good in total. I really like this song though so I'm hoping that will be awesome live. (I'm also crossing my fingers for her to play Bedtime Story but I'm guessing that's hoping for too much T-T)

Klaha - Chameleon no Seppun

This might be the single most important post-Malice Mizer song that ever was and ever will be. It was certainly on the most surprising post-Malice Mizer CD; I don't think anyone was expecting this album o_O

Elvis - The Wonder of You

that's the wonderrrrrr
THE WONDER OF YOUUUUUUUUUUU

The Wonder of You wrote:
When no-one else can understand me
When everything I do is wrong
You give me hope and consolation
You give me strength to carry on
And you're always there to lend a hand
In everything I do
That's the wonder
The wonder of you
And when you smile the world is brighter
You touch my hand and I'm a king
Your kiss to me is worth a fortune
Your love for me is everything
I'll guess I'll never know the reason why
You love me as you do
That's the wonder
The wonder of you
I think it's so beautiful *sniff* I read some commenters say that their grandparents with Alzheimer's will still know all the words to the song and sing it ;__;

I've always loved this song, but now I'm listening to it after seeing an adorable video of a little girl with a passion for Elvis singing in the car, "An American Trilogy." She was so on point! I swear, it was the first time I thought a baby was absolutely adorable. That's what it takes for me ::meev::

God, that song is amazing, he sings it so powerfully (I'd suggest Hawaii version, with the red scarf, because he was at his peak there), and I love the lyrics.

An American Trilogy wrote:
Oh I wish I was in the land of cotton
Old things they are not forgotten
Look away, look away, look away Dixieland
Oh I wish I was in Dixie, away, away
In Dixieland I take my stand to live and die in Dixie
Cause Dixieland, that's where I was born
Early Lord one frosty morning
Look away, look away, look away Dixieland
Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah
His truth is marching on
So hush little baby
Don't you cry
You know your daddy's bound to die
But all my trials, Lord will soon be over

Disneyland Paris - Phantom Manor Soundtrack

I would love to visit this someday! It sounds absolutely magnificent! I especially like the story that goes with the ride. I like that it has a coherent (and uncharacteristically dark!) storyline. (Check out the Story section of the Wikipedia entry)
I'm also a huge fan of the paintings in the stretching parlor. Very sinister work going on!
The score though... This ride has an absolutely gorgeous soundtrack that I highly recommend. The composer did a fantastic job orchestrating the main theme and making it much more symphonic and romantic in the musical sense.

Disney's Pocahontas - The Virginia Company

In 1607...

One of the greatest songs ever, it's super manly, and I get happy whenever I hear "In 1607" come on. It's just so good XD The reprise is the best when it transitions to "Steady as the Beating Drum." But I like The Virginia Company over Steady as the Beating Drum. ::squee::

The reprise is also kind of "awful" in a way:

We'll kill ourselves an injun
Or maybe two or three
We're stalwart men and bold
Of the Virginia Company

IT'S GLORY, GOD, AND GOLD AND THE VIRGINIA COMPANYYYYYYY...

Came across this randomly:
C'est la Vie uploaded what seems to be their entire oeuvre plus some live clips, to Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpX7lf ... =dd&view=0
This is rare stuff - can't be gotten for any price ::cred:: I'm not sure I'd say the remade songs are strictly better than the originals, but new material is new material.

New arrival: Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of Spartacus
There were some interesting avant-garde tracks on here, but also a lot of crimes against music x_x Anthony Hopkins' narration was the best part. This is also apparently Catherine Zeta-Jones' first appearance on an album, whoever exactly she is.
Absolutely not in the same league as "War of the Worlds" though, I see why this has kind of fallen into obscurity.

I've been hooked on Malmsteen's 'Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra', it has been quite some time since I listened to him, so it is quite refreshing.

Wasn't she in Mask of Zorro? I think she was also in The Haunting, which is one of my guilty pleasure movies (along with The Frighteners, which is a TERRIBLE movie that makes no sense, but I absolutely love it, and if it's on, I WILL watch it)

Now listening to Tom Lehrer: The Irish Ballad

A tried and true classic ^_____^
