The first song was posted on Afro Skull Records youtube page. It's got a Miyavi-ish vibe to it. While I can't tell so much, It'll be interesting to hear how the double drum sound will work throughout the songs.

Maybe there's only one drum and they each play half of it cause they're not good enough to play a whole drum set?
Cause you know. Vis kei.

Oh yeah and I dig this.

Boring music .____.

He hasn't changed his voice in all these years. that's good. I'd pay to hear him sing again Egee, love that song from the memoire era <3

I think his voice has changed in little ways over the years. You realize in MM that he was forcing that semi-operatic singing style to match the music. After that he had a vocal training coach and you could tell he got more polished / theaterical in Mega8Ball but even then it was not his natural range and was more vocal gymnastics on his part. It was only in Zigzo did he settle on his proper singing voice.

He'd gotten sloppy on nil recordings (2009-2012) but then The JJA seems like an attempt at him singing well again. And now we have The BCCB which is nil-like in sound based on this one song.

However, this JJA track from last year's Paradise album calls back to his Seraph falsetto. So there's definitely the link:

The drummers are pretty competent on their own. And surely they've simplified things because they don't want to step on each other's toes in this song. However

Kazi was the former drummer of Redrum and is the current drummer of Human Tail. His work can range from punky to the subdued.

And an additional guitar would greatly add to the sound of Tetsu's bands outside of Zigzo. That lack of lead / rhythm guitar dynamic really leaves alot of songs hallow. Sometimes he can pull it off and other times I wish he'd just let give up some creative control and get someone like Ryo from Zigzo to do some guest work.

I like the music quite a bit. It's no surprise since I usually enjoy all of his musical projects. That being said, I could do without the keyboard. It comes of as being toy-like, or childish. I would actually say that it's very The Cure-like.

I just love that it's on Spotify! I always hear the nil releases so long after the fact. I think I liked the last JJA album more, but I'm enjoying this, too.

The album is available online through Amazon.com at the bargain basement price of $9. Much cheaper than the physical release or from digital music sellers in Japan which still charge the full album price for mp3s!

Until then, I'm going to wait on listening to the album until I have more than one thing to order from amazon.co.jp. I'm still a sucker for all things Tetsu and want to have that physical vinyl / CD version in my hands!

Since there isn't a main Tetsu thread that I could find, I will post here. With the Deep Sanctuary shows coming up, people have been wondering if any ex-singers will appear. Looking up info for Tetsu, he is a very busy guy with three active bands and one that sometimes does guest appearances at his shows. The Black Comet Club has a new cd "The Wild Bunch" being released today in Japan (8/22). ZIGZO has been touring and has shows scheduled for October and November. And he is also doing a solo gig in November. Would have been great if he could have done Deep Sanctuary. However rehearsals are probably going on for that and he may not have been available for it. As it said in the Barks interview with Mana and Közi, he was asked but is busy.
