Mana wrote that he has not been in contact with Klaha since Klaha went solo. I don't know how accurate my translation is but it seems he wrote that he has searched for information about him but has found nothing. Since Mana is still in contact with the other members of Malice Mizer it leads to thinking that they also have not heard from Klaha. Here is what Mana wrote:

先日klahaについての質問も来てたけど、彼は自身のソロの後姿を消した。
その後連絡を取りたいと色々探したんだけど行方が分からない。彼の事を語らないと思っているかもしれないけど情報が無さ過ぎてね。いつか会える日があればと思ってる。薔薇の聖堂を見事に表現してくれたよ彼は最高!

He also just tweeted the introduction of Klaha commercial

Yeah, that's about right. Looks like Klaha really did drop off the map for good. :| I wonder if he was just never at home in the musicians' scene to begin with.

It's just weird to me that he's totally off the map for good. Nowadays there are so many ways to track down a person who is alive and not kidnapped/murdered (I do a lot of missing person and unresolved cases readings for fun), but I wonder if Japan just doesn't have those resources. I find it hard to believe when having his name (assuming its real), hometown, birth date, nationality, people he's worked with, there's JUST NO WAY to find him.
I also don't remember if any attempt was made to talk to people he worked on his solo projects with either.

It's so easy for me to track down people too and even find their property listings, yearbooks, political affiliations, marriage/divorce records, criminal records, social media, educational background, career, information on family members, college things, photos, and I'm not a sleuth-master. Things just pop up on Google and you go from there. I wonder if Japan doesn't have any of those websites giving that type of information because of differing views on privacy, something like that.

"I hear he's Japanese, can you help me????" ::meev::
I think the bigger issue here is that even if you could track him down with the dental records or whatever, would you want to talk to some weirdo who looked you up that way?

I wouldn't talk to him (not sure who suggested that), but I find it hard to believe HE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND.

You wouldn't need dental records to find him. That's what I'm saying, why is it difficult in Japan to look someone up? How does Mana get NO information? Here it's stupidly easy so I'm imagining that there they just might not have that sort of thing publicly available when we already have so many details on the man.

EDIT: And didn't Kozi and Yuki play poker with him and Yuki interact with him as he was solo? I seriously doubt there's like NO INFORMATION OUT THERE OH WELL. I don't know how Mana attempted to search for him, but I find it hard to believe no information popped up.

I suspect it's more that there's only so far they're willing to go to find someone who doesn't particularly want to be found. Especially if it's for the purpose of dragging him back into the seedy, disreputable demimonde of music. ::kozi:: Klaha's probably a distinguished pillar of society in his new life and can't be seen rubbing elbows with common players of interludes anymore. You know how the Japanese are, they have a finely honed sense of decorum about these things. My guess is that Mana just asked his people if anyone still keeps in touch, got an answer of "no", searched the internet a bit, and dropped it.
You'll recall that Dada never found Klaha either, though his failures shouldn't surprise anyone ::meev::

Incidentally, I doubt any of those solo staffers would have any info. I think they were all professional talent management people who had no particular attachment to him beyond business. Once he dropped out of that agency that was probably the end of their association.
I'm also not entirely sure "Masaki Haruna" is his real name (I wonder if the old website owner wasn't him), but Mana surely knows what it is since he was signing the paychecks ::cred::

:lol:OMG you guys that was genius.

If he's out of the music biz he probably doesn't want to be found by fans.
I'm sure his friends wouldn't rat him out.
I also get the sense that Japanese people overall tend to respect privacy more.

If I remember correctly, also, Klaha said he doesn't internet or wtvr.
So if you consider that home internet is surpisingly uncommon in Japan,
and then take someone who doesn't internet or put their life on display,
who has only ever been seen in media with makeup on using what is most likely a fake name,
and was never super popular to begin wtih,
then it IS pretty possile to go off the grid.
Kudos to him for succeeding.

I mean, how long did it take for Gackt's yearbook photo to make it out there?
Wasn't it years after he went solo or something? TBH I think the person who leaked it was a pig.

Japan has a lot of records. They also have very strong privacy laws. So Mana could only do so much just like anyone else in Japan. If a person doesn't want to be found in Japan they can make that happen there.

@etherealspirits: Yeah I figured it was Japanese law because there's little chance if it was like in the US he'd just DISAPPEAR like that, especially with the amount of knowledge we already have on him. I studied the EU privacy laws as well the last few months and it's so different in terms of mentality so I figured it had to do with that.

I think what boggles me the most is that it's not just fans but people like Mana and Dada who have looked him up with no success. I wonder if Yuki has?
It's weird to me that people who knew him personally are STILL wondering where he is after all these years and they hear nothing back. I doubt anyone would "drag" him back if he didn't want to, it's not as though he lacks free will, but it's that they don't even know how he's doing. They aren't the yakuza tracking him down to get him back into the life of crime.

It would have been just nice if someone could confirm he's happy and healthy. The way he went was totally inconsiderate, IMO as his self-proclaimed biggest fan.
(going to come out with some new music!.... yeah, still working on it!!....hi...coming back this year.....*disappears forever slowly*)

It also makes me wonder what kind of person he is to really want to disappear from everything, to pretend to be totally oblivious that people ask for him, it kind of spooks me.

is this anything significant? XD

I saw Mana's tweet and to be honest I don't think it has to do with not being able to find him, I agree with flowers, it's probably more that Mana and everyone else who's searched for him has just looked around asking people who knew Klaha and if no one's in contact with him anymore they drop it.

This. It's not something in Japan for people to get into other people's business. It's very much a culture thing, goes along with not wanting to be impolite. And honestly, if Klaha wanted to contact people he has known in the business he would and could do it.

Mana is reaching out to Klaha again. He hinted in his tweets that he had drinks with Kozi last night. Sounds like they talked about Malice Mizer and Klaha. He wrote about wanting Klaha to contact him and tweeted his message site.

It would be nice to know that Klaha is doing okay, even if he wants to remain private. At least if he could let Mana and the others know that. I hope this works out for them.

Having exhausted all other options, maybe Mana should start putting Klaha's face on the side of milk cartons.

Either that, or send out an aqua alert.
