Sorry...tbh, I've kind of lost interest in their new styles of music.
I just hang around to make fun of Hora, out of ennuie.

Hm. Guess I'm the one who has to take the bullet on this one.
Gonna buy it soon. Who knows, maybe it's decent.

Single CDs in this day and age, argh. Just release a full album already or stop.

I bought it and I am loving it! ::hora:: I suggest everyone else buy it too, because Hora mentioned he has a trip to Hawaii coming up in August.

(OK, it's true that one of the songs is a reworking of one of Hora's solo songs. But I'm not telling which song!)

This is very common in Japan and it works here. Tbh, I think albums are much rarer "in this day and age", at least in Japan :P

Hashtag born in the wrong generation
hashtag only 90's kids

One thing I really liked was when the Japanese started using those mini-CDs for singles even though that technology flopped everywhere else. Those things were pretty sexy.

Just sent an email to godsynthesis. It's not that expensive, but after the Malice Mizer $140 DVD I would rather save some money.

Well, that's kind of my issue. When Hora phones in his work (as he often does) I feel extra-cheated because you know he only did it to raise money for Hawaii XD

Noooo, it's not like that! It makes me sad that you don't even give it a try :undecided: I personally quite enjoy their new single ::hora::

But I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who bought the new CD. I wonder what everyone else thinks...?

Kuroi hitsuji is acctually really good. So everyone should give it a fair chance. Don't like that they re-use Hora's solo material though.... (not that it's bad, I just prefer Hora to stay Hora)

DUDES STOP EVERYTHING.
Is the cover for Ever After really a stock photo of a wedding bouquet or is that a troll?

oh ralph

it looks like one of the choices they give you for the CD cover if you want to record your karaoke session at Big Echo karaoke.

Agreed - this is why I've lost interest tbh. I feel like they're putting zero effort into it anymore.
Didn't even bother changing the original picture - just crop and plop.
At the least Hora could have taken a picture of his cat's eye and photoshooped it a bit.
(Besides, what is a wedding bouquet doing on a Shuva CD cover?)

When I asked if it's a troll, I meant 'Is that really the CD cover?' ?
Or is he pranking us. Or is the CD an anniversary gift to his wife or something :P

Hey! It's not the same picture!
... there's a filter on it...

I got the single today. It's... pretty forgettable to be honest. It brings me no joy to say it, but neither song really stand out. The b-side is however better than the title track. Not sure if I'm a huge fan of the filter they used on Kaya's vocals, though. Isn't one of Kaya's main selling points the fact that he has an amazing voice? Maybe that's just me missing Kaya's voice, as he hasn't released anything new in a while.

In all seriousness, I don't even mind the fact that they used a stock photo for the cover. It's just... why something so generic? When I opened the package and saw the cover, not knowing it was a cropped stock photo, I still thought "eh, guess they didn't bother."
It's like a black metal band that releases an album with a dark and gloomy looking forest in the cover. At least try to surprise me.

I remember when SS was just two albums, couple of singles and demos. Those albums were so good and I was really hoping they would make a comeback. Now that they've been making more music, I haven't been overly excited. The music's not terrible, it's not even bad (immortal verses was pretty weak tho), but it's just more of the same. Who knows. Maybe my tastes have changed over the years as well.
