First off, my thanks to Flowers for resolving that fiasco earlier- Says the Reaper, you get to live another day.

My first contribution (since I've been a lurker for years) is this bad boy:

For those of us who are illiterate in Japanese, might someone be so kind and devoted to translate this interview? (Kozi just shared this via Twitter yesterday.) I'm always curious as to what these brilliant minds have to say.

Well, here's what I have time for at the moment, extremely loosely translated XD

K: Well-a-well, here we are.
M: It's been a while.
K: So, since we're here for the Moi-meme-Moitie online salon, I guess we should talk about fashion?
M: Nah, it's not like that, we can talk about anything the readers would find interesting.
K: Well, I'm not good at talking about fashion, yanno.
M: Let's have a talk like none before, something entirely new.
K: Then Mana-chan and I will talk about things never talked about before. So, have a listen.
M: You know, when I first met you, I dressed all in black and had super-long green hair, down to my waist. Didn't you think "This guy is kind of sketchy"?
K: Well, I'd already been working this part-time job for a while and I'd seen a thing or two. Compared to now, back then there weren't many places where dudes with brightly colored hair or long-haired bandmen could work. Our karaoke pub was where they gathered and worked.
M: Yeah.
K: And then in walks Mana-chan from Osaka. I was like "Oh, here comes a real heavy metal guy!"
M: You probably thought "This guy's got no savoir-faire".
K: Mana-chan, you had none. (laughs)
M: Right? (smiles) But come on, I probably just felt awkward because I was already in my twenties. Or something.
K: Did I make a bad impression too?
M: You just had this look in your eyes that set everyone on edge. Now, I had just moved to Tokyo from Osaka, and I didn't know what was what yet, so I wondered just what Tokyo bandmen were like.

Wow! What is Kozi wearing? Crushed velvet caftan?

Uh-oh! Mana accidently reveals his age here. Considering Matenrou disbanded in April 1992, that means Kozi was still 19 at the time and Mana Already in his 20s when they first met. I'd guess Mana is at least 1 or 2 years older than Kozi. My guess is he was born in 1970.

Now I have to figure out how to join MMM salon for part 2.

Thanks, boss! I ran it through Google as well, but it's always better to have someone who's fluent. I appreciate it!
