Heyoooo guess who's seeing Dead Can Dance in Seattle this spring?

Omg I will go to their Vancouver show! (But I kinda want to make a trip out of it and go somewhere else... Seattle is an option). Definitely not gonna pass it up this time, I was bitter as hell that I missed their tour in Europe a few years ago.

It was the trial of a man who burst into his ex-girlfriend's apartment and stabbed her new lover to death... right after they'd concluded an intimate encounter.
No one was disputing that the guy did it, most of the testimony was sort of angling at whether it was a "crime of passion" or if there was premeditation - not that they used any of those specific terms. So they wanted to know where he got the knife (i.e. did he bring one with him or use one that just happened to be lying around), how many times he stabbed the guy, whether he knew it was wrong, and so on.
I only stayed for a few hours of what presumably would be a multi-day trial so I didn't get to see how it turned out.

Holy shit that sounds intense. D:
Are people allowed to sit in murder trials in the US (and France I guess)? If not, how were you able to get in?

Yes indeed, in most democratic countries anyone can just walk into any trial, unless they've specifically sealed it off to the public (like if it's an espionage trial or something)

Trials in France are very different from the US, the witnesses seem to be allowed to get up and tell their story however they please, rather than only being allowed to respond to direct questions. And the judges introduced a sort of "photo reenactment" of the crime where they a series of photos of some guy with a knife leaping up on the bed to stab a doll  Pretty sure that'd never fly here.

Just got rejected from a Black Friday coupon because it's the same code as last year and I used it last year, so it counts as "already used"
Come on people, you do the sale every year XD

They fixed it the next day at least. I cannot be denied my deals ::cred::

Yeah no, I applaud that :p but I can't believe that they would even try to pull that in the first place... wouldn't they want your money?

I finished Mahou Shoujo Ore recently and my god it was such a funny show. Dragged on a bit occasionally but otherwise it's a solid show to binge on.
