Here's a fun anecdote from my day for you all.

I did an exercise in class where students have to say whether they like summer or winter better.
For example, I like _____________ better than _____________.
With either summer or winter being written in the blanks on their worksheet.

For some reason, one girl wrote 'I like summer better than eat a chikin'.

When the other teacher and I asked her what she was trying to say she looked shocked, glanced around the room and let out a panicked 'えっ、違う?'.

Anyway, her nickname is now チキンの子.

It's not too late to put her on the right path. I hate summer and love eating chikin', just like all right-thinkers.

@flowersofnight One of my students just told me that Susumu Hirasawa is her favourite singer, really wasn't something I expected a 15/16 year old to say.

Yeah but she probably likes his new albums because she's a kid ::ash::

You know, "new" as in after 1996 ::ash:: ::ash::

I don't know where to post this. Does anyone have an Aioria tereko (2002/04/05 池袋CYBER) uploaded by inertia long ago that they could share again in downloads?

You almost had me there, but then I looked closer and saw that those aren't official Komachi22276274538 tights.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the latest in the on-going series of the crazy things those kids say.

I'm doing a project with my students in which they have to think up an invention then do a sales pitch presentation to the class.

One group came up with an revolving around a flying bicycle, which they introduce by saying...

if you ride this bicycle you can get pussy in the sky

I have no idea what they were trying to say, I think they wanted to say 'get pushed into the sky', but mucked up the spelling.

I sort of feel like you should be compiling your own "Gaijin Smash" column out of these XD
Hopefully you're not getting kancho'ed on the job though ::gaku::

hey, quick question: do we have a thread already open for the Malice Mizer RR magazine?
I think it might have just gotten rolled into the Deep Sanctuary thread.

Have you ever found an album that no matter how hard you tried to get into it just never clicked with you, until one day something suddenly falls into place and it finally does? It took me a few years to warm up to memoire after disliking it for a long time and I just had the same experience with another album.

That's happened to me here and there, but not too often. I remember not thinking much of Dead or Alive when I was in high school but I gave them a second shot a year or two ago and it was all I'd listen to for a while lol

With me it was Street of ALICE by VELVET EDEN. I used to only really enjoy the later stuff like Double Twelve, but I could just not get into KALM-era early VELVET EDEN. I even thought most of it sucked at one point! But suddenly, I don't know what happened, but I started really loving and enjoying KALM-era VELVET EDEN. And in just a few months, Street of ALICE became one of my most listened albums of all time, over 1200 listens! What a masterpiece it is. So solid, consistent and detailed/fine. The three other KALM era releases are amazing too, but nothing beats godly Street of ALICE.
