Does anyone have a scan of the little information card that came with the cinq parallele VHS tape?

If it's about the warranty, I'm pretty sure it's expired already ::meev::
Darn. :P

Speaking of which, have you ever had an issue with a VHS tape? I've had DVDs that were wrecked at some point during the manufacturing process and I've bought software that missing manuals etc. I even remember a friend buying a game for their 360 and having to exchange it because it wouldn't play. I don't remember any issues with VHS tapes though.

I think there was someone around here who had all the VHS tapes, but it wasn't me.
Hopefully they see this then. I was trying to track down any production information regarding the music videos.

What, besides the VCR eating the tape? XD
I think VHS tapes don't really break down per se, they just get noisier and worse without limit.

I think there have also been a few scandals over the years where kids' tapes got recorded onto reused tapes that had inappropriate content on them, and then when the cartoons ended they'd get dropped right into whatever was on the old tape.

I remember my old boombox being notorious for that.

Reminds me of that clip that snuck its way onto the Evangelion DVD back in the day.

Who plays arcade games anymore or gets excited for "the new video game that's just like being in the arcade"?
We have a small Game Center in the shopping mall here and there are always tons of people there, mainly for 太鼓の達人, but the crane games also draw a lot of people. One of my students dumped ¥7,000 trying to get a watch out of one. The photo booths also get a lot of traffic.

At least that was until the state of emergency that caused it to be closed for several months.

I'm still hanging out for the new House of the Dead arcade game, fortunately the sale was only the management business and not the development business, which will still produce new games.

I hope the urinal games will stay in Akihabara, although I can't remember if those were in the SEGA game centers.

I'm sad that arcades were never really a thing where I'm from, at least in my lifetime.
In many ways arcades were a complete ripoff, but it would have been nice to play games outside with a group of friends.

I'm a bit surprised that arcade bars aren't more popular. I would love to play Pac-man while drunk

There are at least a few in Paris...drinks are needlessly expensive though.

We had a heap in Australia during the 90s, but they all closed down around the 2000s and the only place where you could play arcade games was usually the lobby of movie theatres. The game centres in the theatres eventually disappeared too, after they were all renovated and adopted a much more boring, 'mature' atmosphere.

There is one company that runs a few small locations, but the machines are usually not in the best shape and the prices are a total rip-off. I saw a Guitar Hero game that cost something like $8 for a single song.

There was one place in the 90s that did 2-hour 'lock ins', basically you queued up before the store opened, paid $10 and then all the games (excluding ticket prize games) were free for 2-hours before the Game Center officially opened. I played through all of Dynamite Cop 2 that way.

They even had some rare Japanese imports, like the Biohazard arcade game.

There's some new-ish place around here operating on that model, you just pay a flat fee to get in and you can play as many games as you want for free. It's mostly, like, pinballs and Galaga and such, plus some of the '90s classics like the usual fighting games. I don't think there are any new arcade games there.

Speaking of 90's arcades, I went and visited an old lookout in the Kobe area the other week. The building itself was four floors, the first being a rest house (with a working Wurlitzer jukebox!), the second floor was a game centre, the third a rotating restaurant (perhaps cafe is a better word) and the rooftop was the lookout.

According to my friend it is going to be demolished, so we went to check it out before that happens.

I'm filling out an application, in English, and as the dumb simple Swede I am I wrote my first name followed by my surname. Then I realized it said to write the surname first ::beat::

Should I use correction tape and rewrite or leave it as it is? I don't have a printer at home so I rather not go to the library and reprint ::meev:: This is part of a visa application and I have written my name in the correct order on one of the other forms ::blowup::

Mm...it's just that the document itself looks so...B XD like you're supposed to handwrite it and it's a resume, and it's basically 5 lines. To me it makes it seem less "serious". But yeah, probably should reprint.

personally I just cross out the stuff and rewrite it, and I've never had an issue.
The French administration ignores me documents regardless.
