Do you have the tweets by any chance ? I couldn't find them unfortunately.
Tbh I can't fault them because I can't imagine them paying the bills with niche music sales. I think they took the best decision on the long run. I just wish Ryonai would've released a bit more though.

If so, the exact date was March 3, 2001. The "Night of Mothra," it was called.
If you're referring to the lobster claw outfit, that was October 31, I believe the same year, 2001. At the event "PARANOIA HALLOWEEN PARTY."

I'm checking with DADA to see if he remembers the exact date of the cosplay contest back then, but an interesting bit of information from him, he was almost disqualified from the contest because his cosplay wasn't from a band, but he ended up winning the HIDE award for the event anyway. So they must have been impressed with it nonetheless.
Wouldn't DADA have been with Pride of mind at this point (1996)? That would be interesting to see if he was with them during the time this event took place. I believe E-TYP was in 1997 right before he joined VELVET EDEN, so I doubt he was with E-TYP then.
