Have you guys seen the video of Biden's hands passing through the microphones?
I'm trying to work out what happened but I'm turning up nothing. The video was so inconsequential that it seems like an awful lot of effort to fake.

Well, hey, if he IS a hologram and not a real person, then he can't perve on young women anymore. I'm down with that.
As long as we have a functioning cabinet, then we don't need some old politiciany politician who can barely string a sentence together.
So basically, I guess it doesn't matter much to me where he is, or if he is, as long as he's not Trump lol

I'm more baffled by why one of the microphones looks more like some weird furry accessory than a microphone.

I'm not even going that far, I just want to know why his hands pass through the microphone. It has to be some sort of optical illusion, but all I can find is people claiming it to be a conspiracy theory rather than explaining what is going on. ;_;

Honestly, the microphones look more out of place than Biden does.
The news outlet did that interview might add them in systematically to make it look more newsy, and his hand disrupted whatever they had going on.
That's my guess.

At any rate, technology is now able to overlay people's faces onto other people in videos (ex Jim Carrey in The Shining).
And people are stuck at home with nothing to do because of covid. So nothing really surprises me.

I have something to do now though. Hanachan got me this book for my birthday, with the intention that I would actually like it this time. He was right:

I considered that, but then I found footage that was taken from a different angle and it became even stranger - he was in fact standing much farther from the microphones than the videos make it appear. Hopefully someone puts together a myth-busters style video during the week and we can all learn something.

I read about a case the other day where a woman in America was deep-faking her daughters cheer-leading team competitors into compromising situations.
Meanwhile I'm struggling to make the time to get all my chores around the house finished.

I tried to buy that a few years ago but it was out of print! I have the book 'Yurei' by the same author, it's pretty cool. he also used to run a blog about Japanese ghost stories.

I don't have this problem at all.
Though I dunno if it's because I'm a disgusting dirt pig, or if it's all due to my magic squeegee.

I'm serious. Anyone who doesn't have a squeegee should get one.
The name is stupid af but you'll never have to descale your shower again.

Other than that, I've been thinking about hackers. When I was in middle school they were awesome because of the Matrix.
Now that I'm older, they seem more likely to be poorly adjusted individuals with unwarranted superiority complexes who just happen to crack a password.
Though I do, on occasion, agree with some of the things Anonymous has done, the fact rests that they're probably losers in real life.
Incels or something. Too bad, Neo.

But now we know that the good parts of "The Matrix" were plagiarized and the directors were mindbroken into irrelevance by some celebrity dominatrix famous for doing just that.

I don't think Keanu Reeves was plagiarized tho. He seems to be an original of himself.

Edit: speaking of people, I just saw a recent picture of Hyde (I forget why though). He looks kind of like a hispanic antivaxx auntie....really weird all these people are nearing their 50s.

I don't have a ton of experience "remastering" audio, but I spent a few hours fixing up the low quality Psycho le Cému demo tape on my iPod and realized at the very end they already released it themselves in a box set 2 years ago. ::mana::

At least it sounds nicer now lmao

I wish more people would re-release their master copies. It was a nice surprise when Kneuklid Romance released all their old stuff - can't think of too many other examples.

It's always a really nice surprise when they do. I think it's more of a common thing for the west and not so much for Japan. Hell, Strawberry Switchblade is even releasing old demos.

Hellhammer put their three demo tapes out in a 2 disc set about a decade ago. Pretty crazy to consider that it was the first time those tapes have been mastered and made widely available given how influential they were to the metal scene.

Similar thing with Thorns, one of the pioneers of black metal riffing, and the Grymyrk tapes which were previously only traded and copied with those 'in the know' at the time.

Hey flowers, is there any way I can get my old crosses back? It's not the end of the world if it's off-limits, I'm just curious.

Which ones? They all got lost when we switched to the new software so I don't know which you had.

Hey hanachan, actually, could we replace the crosses with something?
Like, do they HAVE to stay crosses?

lol, sure, why not. Crosses, garlic, onions, it's all good.
I was thinking more like things related to the musicians here though,
so we can express which band we're all about if we want to.
Like we could have bananas for Gackt cause of that promotion stint...and bananas for Kaya...
A trainwreck for Dada, ghosts for Klaha, chilis for Mana...
The possibilities are endless. And I bet Hanachan would be thrilled to make it all with pixelart in MS Paint.
