Anyway I'm not going to lie, I was hoping "Manager Garcia" would be a Mexican XD

Same, but I wonder if maybe this is him? And that's how the nickname came about? x) Or what is this costume supposed to be?

Also, could this be Kai as Bem?

Mana's old appartment sounds more and more like an episode of Family Guy XD

Thank you for this precious information

I was thinking "Vampire Hunter D", but you know what, you're right, that is just a Mexican in a poncho and nothing will be able to convince me otherwise now XD

hey, did anyone ever translate the DSVI pamphlet? There were 20 questions for each member and a round table discussion at the end and I'm pretty sure I've read a translation somewhere? But I can't find it .___.

Edit: ok so turns out what i had read (and the snipped i was thinking of) was actually from the DSII pamphlet, that @faith graciously translated nearly 10 years ago x)

You wouldn't happen to be interested in translating the DSVI one as well by any chance? :D

Sure send it on over. I'll translate it and Hanachan can nitpick it afterwards :D

And randomly, I was looking up Matsuda Seiko for reasons and stumbled upon a tv show with her and Gackt where he's giving her advice about her dog or wtvr...
Did he have a thing for her?? I've never seen him make that kind of expression anywhere else.
You know, that expression guys make sometimes where it's like their brain turned off (edited because I figured out what I wanted to say).

The video you were too lazy to link was:

But I think everyone is just looking at the host who's at the back of the stage and that's why Gackt seems to be inclining toward her oddly.

Hey there!

I'm quite a new one both to JRock/VKei and to this forum (which appears to be a bit antique by the standards of the Internet) and I'm not really sure if it's the right topic to write my message but... Anyway. I actually started diving into Vkei after discovery of GPKISM (does anybody still remember these guys?) this year, and they seemed, and still seem, pretty good to me, despite having vague connection to the genre. Furthermore, I became rather obsessed with this project (it sounds downright hilarious, I know XD), trying to collect any piece of information about them still remaining on the Web. However, I'm still struggling to find a fair share of their stuff.
Hence, may I have a right to ask if somebody still has scans for any releases in their possession? (scans for Sublimis and Sanguis Rosa EPs, Atheos 2nd Press, and Reliquia album are still missing and I have no clue where to find them). And may I be even more audacious to ask if someone still has files for the first Sublimis issue (15.08.2007), the one consisting of 4 instrumental demo-tracks? It appears that even Ken himself no longer has this thing, as well as the other releases (no wonder - all that was years and years ago). I will be very appreciative for any help!

How on earth was that the first thing you came across in the genre?

Some of the people who were listeners at the time are still here, anyway. Maybe they can help you out.

All I know about GPK is that he was singlehandedly responsible for the demise of Eve of Destiny, by dragging them out on a wild goose chase to Australia ::meev::

Anyway, welcome aboard :)

I genuinely don't know, lol!
What's even more funny, I actually listen to Industrial music (varying from some EBM subgenres to Harsh Noise and so on) most of the time, which does not exactly correlate with cloying "lovely love" and "romantic romance" of Ken's music and lyrics.
O Lord, the entire story cracks me up as well. But, well, that's just the way it is, even if it sounds utterly silly!

Anyway, thanks for the link, going to try asking there (doing some archeology, aren't we?)!

And thanks for a warm welcome, of course :)

lol nice introduction. "Hey relics, you remember GPK and the angry dude?"
I'm honesltly surprised there are any "new" vis kei forums. The genre's gone stagnant.

Edit: and it's not really a relic, but it is darn old, so Flowers can be Napoleon's stuffed horse from la Musée de L'armée

No offence intended, really! Actually, it's always fascinating to see long lasting communities like this one (I guess I messed the wordings up, therefore I'm sorry).

Pop quiz to anyone: what would you say is the latest VK release that had any relevance?
How can it be measured, though? Is there anything new happening on the scene, anyway?

No need for apologies; I thought it was funny.
If we got pissy about stuff like that we probably wouldn't still be around.

Does anyone here follow the scene enough to be able to even try to answer?
Personally, the only new band I've liked at all in the past decade is Ganglion.

Mmmmprobably not XD
Did you know Kamijo is apparently still around and still doing his thing?

This is awful, and the moon-spoon-June lyrics don't help matters. ::erm::

Did he have a thing for her?
Probably, he would have hit his teenage years around the peak of her career.

I saw a report on the news that her daughter passed away recently too and it hasn't been determined if it was an accidental death or suicide.

Still working on getting it scanned but THANK YOU!!! ::squee::

Regarding the pop quiz, most recent thing i listened to was actually Kamijo's solo album xD (he also has a YT channel, although his content is not as funny/interesting as Mana's or Gackt's ;))

But then again, I've never really followed the scene at all :P

Kamijo has continued the tradition of writing lyrics entirely in english. I recently came across Sang I, II, III and I haven't heard such hilarious engrish lyrics in a while

Fragile emotions, I should conceal
Inside the chamber of my secrets
Just like a big grave made of stones
It chills everyone to the bone

And Napoleon is the hero of "DEMOCRACY" This is really something else ::meev::

BTW can you help out our new member with that GPKISM stuff or have you long since deleted all that? XD

it's GPKism, not GPKISM ::kiwi::

Oh lord I cringe so much at myself reading my old posts. Unfortunately I never grew out of my 18 y old music tastes and I still listen to GPK's music at the gym lol.

I don't have any of the files that they're looking for. I'd love to listen to that one FoR demo that GPK & Adrian composed together if anyone still has it :-P
