I at least commend their attention to detail for using a cassette from 1987 and aging the materials. Or having the foresight to store and handle it poorly for decades anyway XD That layer of crusted-on filth really gives it that Jenny say quor.

So we're here in April and Euroland is apparently banned from Yahoo Japan services now. Seems like you can't even view listings anymore if you're there.

Everyone stalks that one seller that sells the rarest tapes, all genuine.
And when fakers see an item ending for a ton of money, and the photo's of that item contain the original stock, it's easy for them to just buy an empty copy of that old stock and fake the tape with it.
Just one month after a real GIRL'e, this fake appears... With lower quality, but a stock (cassette type) like the real one. The same happened for many other tapes that this seller put up.
It's disgusting.....

This is why I think it may be important to experiment with tape azimuth, by the way. A lot of the so-called "high-value" tapes may only be available as copies made on some guy's own tape deck and the only way to get a full-quality playback would be to match their azimuth.

Of course the same is true for commercially produced tapes but I believe those are generally produced in the same perfect alignment that decks are pre-set to expect.

For anyone in the EU like me, if you need to view YJA listings like normal again and don't have or want to invest in a dedicated VPN, the Tor browser works great:

https://www.torproject.org/download/

From what I read, the Opera browser also should work similarly because of its built in VPN.
