Juka to leave Moi dix Mois!

"Vocalist Juka has decided to leave Moi dix Mois after the gig at Shibuya AX
on April 24, 2005.
As for Mois dix Mois, we will continue with our activities.

The gig at AX will be the final one with Juka, but the five of us, who
toured Europe together, will give it all we've got.

well, on the bright side...now I don't have to spend money on tickets ^^

...don't get mad at me anyone but...was anyone else getting the "Juka's not gonna be in M10M much longer" vibe?

...... ;__;

Well, now that I think about it I was sort of getting that vibe too...I'm also getting the vibe he wants to do either something solo or with another band who's more poppish, like Gackt or Laruku. :/

I hadn't gotten that feeling but I definitely noticed that he was showing much more of his own personality lately. He didn't look like a clone from the "Mana's support member" factory anymore. I liked it a lot. ;_;

Ah, you're thinking about not going to shows anymore too? I'm going to wait and see but I'm not optimistic. Juka's voice is a HUGE part of the reason I like Moi dix Mois. I can't focus on the instruments when I don't like the singing; if I don't like the vocalist, I don't like the band. >_< I wonder what this will do to the band's sound?

Yeah, I just woke up to this e-mail. Not exactly what I wanted to start the day with.

This just sux. Mana has a hack for getting good singers, but Juka was a bit unique. The question in my mind now is "why!?!?!?!?". To be honest, the only thing that comes to mind is:

Mana, look at who you dun pissed off now!

Not just that, but in the last Madousho they seemed to be going out of their way to show that he wasn't like the others...

At least, that was my impression.

But as to why I might not go anymore, for me it's being able to relate somewhat to the band members as well as the music. Their music never really impressed me and Mana, Tohru, and K have pretty much alienated me. Kazuno...just kinda...was, and Juka started moving like Kaya and I flipped out and decided I liked him.

...that and I'm outgrowing M10M (odd to say but...)

Sounds like he won't wanna stay in Tokyo either, so no chance I'll elbow him in my mad dash to school. Pitty...

EDT: Oh yeah, and our ticket numbers are 307is this time, and not 50. Intertia, you too?

I really loved Juka's voice and he was my favourite member after Mana but I'm going to wait and see what kind of replacement Mana comes up with before I make drastic decisions like whether or not to continue being a fan. Sure, Juka was the voice of M10M but AFAIK he wasn't involved in writing the music and so far Mana has always managed to find good singers, so why shouldn't he this time? Fair enough, M10M is a solo project, so it will be a little harder but let's just wait and see.

As you quite rightly say: "why!?!?!?!?" We don’t know what happened, so there is no point in speculating about it.

For what it's worth, when people at the European lives were cheering (almost) as much for Juka as they did for Mana I was beginning to fear this would happen. Perhaps Juka has simply realised that he has quite a substantial fan base himself and has decided to build on that.

Poor Mana - things were going so well for him and now? :(

You're assuming Juka chose to leave. I think so too, but we don't know anything yet (and probably won't).

I should get started on my own music; I'm sick of relying on other people for it.

Geez, it'll be a shame to see Juka go. I hope Mana doesn't try to replace him with a death metal vocalist or something silly like that... :P

And I hope Juka doesn't end up like Gackt, or Klaha. .... or Kaie. Good luck, Juka!

Faith: Yes, I have #311. >_<;

Personality-wise I like all of them. Er, well, I'm still getting used to K, but I think Tohru's adorable and funny, Kazuno's too charming for the spot in the back he's stuck in now that K's here, and Mana's a fabulous performer with a wonderful vision. I can't make personality the reason why I support a band, though! I felt terrible about abandoning Malice Mizer in the post-Gackt era but I didn't like their new music, and I couldn't respect myself if I continued to support a band just for the sake of liking the members and their image. It's no good. So I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed that Mana will find a new vocalist who I'll like.

Wow. This is a bit heart breaking...

But I'm not too upset. If Juka wants to go he wants to go. To me he seemed like he was just a young little boy who needed to mature and spread his wings. Now he'll be able to do that.

And I'm not worried about the vocals. I'm actually excited to hear what they're going to do now...
