I was raised a vegetarian. No meat, poultry, or seafood.
When I was 12 or so, I started eating seafood on a limited basis. Eventually I ate all varieties of seafood, and chicken.
People asked why I didn't eat pork or beef, then. And I'm not sure why, but it just doesn't seem right. I think that if I was going hungry, I could kill a fish or a chicken.
But a cow or a pig? Noooooo fucking way. I couldn't do it, physically or mentally. So the thought of eating pork or beef is a bit abhorrent, to me, personally.
Culturally, societies with a low amount of beef/pork in their diets are healthier, especially if their staple meats are fish accompanied with vegetables, and their preparation methods aren't too fatty. Case in point? The Japanese. Eat your natto, boys and girls.
What I last ate? Diet Cherry 7-up. It's all I've had all day, haha. x_x
