I know the initial reaction is to compare the remakes to the original but I'm certain that wasn't at all Mana's intent in remaking the song in the first place. Clearly the song has a place in the concept of the new album, so I think from an artistic perspective it is more practical to accept...

No. I loved it. It has a much different energy than the original that suits the new Moi dix Mois well. I love the agression the "go mad, go to hell" chants add to the song! ::squee::

Still loving the album, and loving it more and more with each listen, but I'd LOVE to get some longer solos on a Moi dix Mois song. I think Mana could have definitely stretched the solos in Seventh Veil and Dead Scape to a good solid minute and really added an interesting dimension to the whole...

It's one of the mini-discs like the Gackt-era MALICE MIZER singles used to be, but it doesn't have an acutal cover, I only have the disc itself (it came in a small blank envelope that I obviously threw away), so I'll get the photo to you soon. :)

@MisstressYoukai: did your photo come autographed? We both ordered from CDJapan... I'm fine with the CD alone, I bought the album because I love Mana's work and want to support his career. I've received posters with every other Moi dix Mois release I've purchased, which doesn't matter much...

So I've given the album a listen-through, and although I won't bother with a track by track review I do have some feedback..... I LOVE it!! What I find so fascinating about Mana's work is his effort to take the listener to a new place with each release. For example, DIXANADU definitely...
