you guys... I totally believe that this album will mark a great change in the course of Moi dix Mois. I personally found Dixanadu to be absolulty horrid overall. But the music he wrote for Kanon Wakeshima was superb (imo) and I can feel that there has been a shift in his composing since exploring that foreign territory(kanon).

Mana has been through so much recnetly with Kanon and the concert with Kozi and Yu~ki. It is hard to imagine that these events have not changed him for the better. If Mana wants to tell us that the songs on this album are going to outdo all the other albums of Moi dix Mois, I will believe him and hope for the best.

I agree that it would be best for him to be in an actual band. but at this point i realize that that is probably never going to happen.

I know that Mana's compositions can not be all "down hill". He still has a lot of time left in his life to impress us all.

*still holding the Mana torch*

p.s. if this album turns out to be shit I will retract these statements and live the rest of my life under a rock...

Nooooo comment, it's just too easy XD

c'mon "skip turn step" was one of the best things I have ever heard him produce. He got to really explore a different sound through her (which at times was admittedly redundant/repetitive) and must have evolved a part of himself that was until that point dormant.

but i think we all can agree that simply, he did things he has not done before. that is all I am saying. :)

edit: just realized that this was probably a sexually based joke...

edit2: still trying to get used to Seth's vocals... ::kaya::

SICK!

i think this music based on the sampes is just as "cheap" as ever, and the melodies are just as strong, and you'll notice once you get used to them if you give them a chance.

i loved dixanadu and i'm pretty sure i'll love this album.

Yeah, I thought the synths seemed particularly cheesy but nothing unprecedented for Moi dix Mois, really.

I know that there will be some good guitar riffage on this album (we've already heard Dead Scape and whatnot), and I'm pretty much ready to see Moi dix Mois return to a darker attitude at this point, so I'm looking forward to the album.

I've mostly given up hope that Mana will ever out-do himself the way he occasionally did with Malice Mizer, but to quote Iskanderia, I'd say this album is bound to be at least "serviceable".

And think of how many songs are going to be on this one :D It'll be his biggest album yet!

I pre-ordered the CD at the end of last week. I didn't do it before because I am in great changes in my life and I didn't know if I would be going to receive it. A change of adress is planned.
So, it had nothing to do with my opinion about Mana and his art.

Contrary to a lot of you, I think the music of Mana isn't decreasing at all. In fact, I take the opposite view. I feel more and more pleasure to listen to Mana's music, especially Dixanadu that a lot of you criticize so much. The more I listen to his music, the more I like. But, the great difference is that I have no musical skills. I never learnt music. I play a little guitar and keyboards but without any lessons. And so, I listen to and feel Mana's music with my heart only.

To answer to you, Camuflagem, I don't think fans can be considered as good friends. It's just what every fan would want of course. But in reality, it's not true. I think an artist should always express himself with his/her art, should always do what he/she wants, even if fans dislike it. Artists don't do things for the fans or they are artists no more but just business men or women. It's the case for the artists but for everyone too.
Well, it's just my opinion ^^

Anyway, I am waiting for the album with great expectations :)

I think Mana should swap out vocalists again. I have nothing against Seth, but vocals have considerable influence on his compositions and it's been years since he experimented out of his comfort zone. (In Moi dix Mois, obviously.)

I am simply happy about this long-awaited new release and I doubt I'll be disappointed. I just can't think why he would release a boring album, that's all.

I think the same here! .... Mana (Garnet?)... can you swap Vocalist in every 2 or 3 songs like Hizaki?

I'm disapointed that's it's the one where he has the 'xib' on his head but as some people said in the other topic it may have some special meaning since in the video you can see 'siom xid iom'...

Still it's not the most important thing about this release! ~

On the bright side, now you don't have to feel bad about not getting a poster. ::meev::

Quite the contrary! We could at least have used it (I mean the back side) to wrap around this horrid cover, ahahahah!

I'm feeling pretty good right now about my decision to not pre-order.

I don't know why.... but a feel this will be the last MdM album!!! :D !

this would be great!!!!!
why would it be great if it were the last MdM album?

Because Malice Mizer > MdM

Why is this discussion going on in the aesthetics thread?

if they reunited it would probably sound like Moi dix Mois currently does anyway. :P
