Anyone else order goods from CD Japan for DSVI?

I've been holding off saying anything, but at this point. It's not the delays, it's the fact that they are now removing items from my order, not sending any notification as to why or if they refunded my cc. And it's the fact that they are not responding to the couple of emails I've sent them asking what is going on. I've never had a problem in the 13 years I've been buying from them. Till now.

Has anyone else ordered anything besides the pamphlet?

I ordered two t-shirts and a tote bag (on Oct 1) and tried to question them on FB about why it hasn't been shipped yet, they replied that they were making inquiries with their supplier but hadn't received an answer yet.

They haven't changed anything on my order, but the status is still at "Credit Card Approved"

I hope you all get your goods in the end!!! I've used them for years and never had an issue (I once had to a get a refund on something but all went well). Seems like it may be a hitch with the supplier~

So they are able to respond on FB but not to emails to their customer service.

It's more than a hitch with the supplier. I've bought from them for ten years and the way they are not responding at all to emails is bad. Plus removing an item from my order without notifying me?

The supplier has been a problem in the past. I think they are a company that does merchandise for a number of bands. Still last year there wasn't this problem with the anniversary shirts.

It's an ongoing problem that the guy at the top really should find a better way of handling selling merchandise to overseas if he plans on doing more than just the usual couple of shows a year. There are other companies out there that sell merchandise online that have decent customer service.

Personally, I don't have a problem waiting if someone would at least respond to my emails to their customer service. But it's been five days now with no replies. The removal of an item that is showing available on their website, with no email stating I was refunded for this item bothers me greatly. Guess I will try their FB.

Thanks for responding everyone.

I’ve never had a problem with them until now, either, but I ordered the white dolman on Sept. 16 and it still only shows as “Payment Finalized.” :c

The problem would be on MN's end. I've emailed them a few times in the past about issues with availability etc. and they said that MN have a tendency to not reply/take a very long time to reply.

So it is likely that CDJapan have as good an idea as to what is going on as we do. :/

CD Japan can explain why they don't respond to emails from customers and why they remove available items from orders without notifying the customer that they refunded for that item.

But they aren't doing that.

As for the merchandise, it's the company contracted to handle merchandise for the concerts and online sales. That's how bands do it, especially ones not touring much.

CD Japan did finally respond to me on FB. They messed up in not sending an email to me about the removal of the item from my order. (I've asked them now for clarification if my card was charged already for everything and if so, something showing the refund back to me for that item).

They also said the supplier for the 25th Anniversary goods is suppose to tell them today when the goods will be available. Will see. If I get an email or message with more information I will post it here.

I should write why I'm kind of anxious about this. I had planned on getting a dolman top when I was at DSV two years ago. But because it was standing only, I wanted to wait till after the show. Except they sold out. So this time I was "I need to get that top". And then Mana tweeted about the white dolman for the prior show and I was "A white dolman would be nice for DSVI because it's summer and it's hot". And of course, the dolman was white and I was "Yes I'm going to get one!". And then at the show they didn't have them.

So I guess that's why I'm a little more invested in this, this time. Usually I'm like "fine, not going to wait for whenever they get their act together, don't need the stress of wondering".

So there will be goods, and hopefully info as to when CD Japan will be getting them.

CDJ always seemed to have a bit of a spotty record when their upstream suppliers had issues. Back in the waning days of the CDJ-managed international fanclub, I recall they had a habit of just clamming up whenever Midi:Nette didn't have any FC material for them.

Did they ever actually translated the Mon Amour stuff? I honestly can't remember, but I recently found the website and it promised translations for international members, and it's no longer possible to log in...

I got a message from CD Japan, items are in the warehouse but they are really understaffed. But it's good they contacted me, through FB. I think because they messed up before is the reason why. So hopefully people will start getting shipping notices soon.

I'm still bemused by this whole "getting customer support over social media" thing ::ash::

Yeah it's bizarre that I have gotten faster responses through Twitter than by calling up places or emailing with a couple of companies over the last couple of years. I think because more people see sites like Twitter, companies have bigger anxiety on looking like they are doing something. However CD Japan doesn't have a Twitter customer service account. But they have been very responsive through FB messaging. They did tell me they had held off on responding to my emails because they were hoping to get info first, but that's no excuse, and they admitted it. I guess being a customer for 10 years kind of helped in this situation.

I also remembered to thank that person who I tweeted to the other night. Just in case he helped out. I figured he would like to know that people will start getting what they ordered.

It may be a couple days before orders start shipping, since they are understaffed.

I got the same message from them, and whoever sent it said they'd go to the warehouse to get it ::bleh:: I guess they're REALLY understaffed

《Hi, We confirm that your products arrived to our warehouse. However, we are currently suffering from a huge shortage of workers
at our warehouse. I will take a trip to our warehouse today to actually find your product and package them so that they will ship out.

I will give you an update with your order again.》

Nothing to do but wait. Should I send in my resume tho? If they're looking for staff... ::meev::

I can have goods? Or so they said. Packaged and soon on their way. With another apology. I have to say, in all my years, I've never had a company be more apologetic and detail every step they are taking, as CD Japan is right now. And I've had some do rather unreal bad service.
