Favorite Final Fantasy

For many the FF series is a common household item. Which is your favorite?

Such a hard decision >_< But I have to say... FFVIII I like the characters the most, it has my favorite cutscenes, and I always liked the Squall/Rinoa characters better then any others from the other FF games =)

It was my 1st FF game I ever played, so I have sentimental attachment to it. And I play that game so much....@.@

I also like FFVII and FFVIII a lot too.

That's another reason I love FFVIII so much, it was my first FF game (got it for the PC when at came out =D

Setzer is way cooler than Alucard. :\

With me, that's a battle you're destined to loose ^^; I have been playing Castlevania MUCH longer then FF and it's my favorite game series ^^; so Setzer can't possibly beat Alucard to me ^_^ He can beat some of the other less cool Castlevania characters, though =)

it's the only one I've had the opportunity to play a substantial amount of... so I guess that makes me a little biased. But I love it dearly.

I played a bit of VIII, tried to name Squall "Mr. Angsty Pants" but there weren't enough spaces, then got bored whined to my friend for not owning Bujingai because I suddenly felt like being the master of all Gackt's dorkiness and probably ate all her pocky

Alucard was so different in his first appearance. I find alot of other characters to be cooler than him. Souma Cruz for one, DEATH in Castlevania: LOI too.

I remember the original Alucard... That was the definiton of ugly... but you should see him in the Castlevania episode of Captain N 0_0 But I thought he was pretty cool in Symphony of the Night, especially with his Japanese voice. And he and Setzer do have a lot of similarities.

I liked FFX-2 the most, it had such a lively atmosphere and the characters were awesome. I loved the dress-spheres and the gameplay.

Final Fantasy IX, no doubt. I think it has the most interesting characters and a good mix of different personalities. FF VI is a very close second though.

FF X was pretty good, it had such a great soundtrack, though some of the really poor vocie acting ruined the game. Like Tidus, Wakka and Rikku's vocies.

I've only finished FFX and FFX-2. Currently working on FFVII.

Final Fantasy IX. It was my first one and it'll always strike me as amazing. Also, the music is very good.

I haven't enjoyed a Final Fantasy passed FFVIII. That was the last great FF in my eyes. Me and a few friends have this ongoing joke about Square Enix releasing old FF games in the sort of compilations. Our hope is that they release one with FF's IX, X, X-2, and XI and call it Final Fantasy Failures. >_>

And btw, where's Final Fantasy Tactics?

I feel the same way to some degree, though I did really like Final Fantasy X. I thought Final Fantasy IX was boring I never really got into it. I didn't like Final Fantasy X-2 much either though I did really like the idea and the feeling the game had I wish they would have used a regular RPG format as opposed to a side quest style approach. I don't play online RPGs I can't speak for Final Fantasy XI. I'm looking forward to Final Fantasy XII though. I think the best Final Fantasy games so far have been Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X.
