Just sharing this because I'm so hyped lol.. well I finally got my first car less than two months ago-ish and it has a cassette deck in it so I figured I should start importing tapes I liked. Long story short I won an auction for Psycho le Cému's demo tape Self Analysis and now I have it!! I'm so happy I started a cassette collection now, oh and I also have another demo tape on the way from another 90's band too ::squee::image2.JPG image3.JPG image1.JPG image4.JPG

Nice!
Ripping the tapes may be hard on a car deck though ::meev::
I would like to rip them, but 1. I don't necessarily know how (lol) and 2. I already have this one and the others I plan to collect downloaded from Scape and other sites in mp3 form so I think I'm fine just listening to them in the car every now and then.. The 4 I want the most are the 3 cains:feel tapes and the rare cassette version of Dix infernal

It's not a real "version", it was a promo copy they put onto a tape. It's exactly the same as the regular album. I posted a picture somewhere on here, but can't find it offhand.

Basically need a cassette player that can be patched into another recording device. If you can get a hold of a cd recorder that would be easy. Patching into a computer is a little more difficult, still need a program that will record it as a wav or mp3 file.

So what was it?

By the way, in case you don't know, don't play them too often, because they do wear out.
Oh wow thanks for the heads up, I didn't know that.. the auction I lost was for Cookie Chair by Da'vid no Shito;aL :( lol hopefully one day I'll find all the DNSA, Mary Rue, and Pleur demos and releases I don't have yet

They've actually got both Da'vid demos on Puresound now, I think. Mary Rue didn't strike me as particularly notable though.

There was a Rudolf Steiner or Schwarz Stein cassette floating around on Mbok too.

Yeah, it's been on there many times longer than the band ever existed ::meev::

How about some more suggestions to get his collection started:

Thanks for the links! I’ve never purchased from Puresound or Mbok, I think I read on here that Puresound accepts overseas orders but do I need to register or what?
Yeah you need to register. ALso, they only ship with EMS so the risks are high you'll have to pay customs fees. If you only want one or two items maybe it's cheaper to use a shopping service?
Also, I'd obviously recomend ::gaku:: : https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e242251565

I've ordered from PureSound a few times from overseas and I haven't had to register, I just send them an email through their contact form with links to the items I want and they email me back and we go from there, if you include your name, full address, contact number/email and links to the items you want it should expedite the process.

For Closet Child you just need an account on the website.

As for MBok you will need to go through a shipping service that supports it, I've used ShoppingMallJapan a few times and had no issues.

The Cains:Feel tapes are in the Osaka PureSound store, but they’re around ¥30000 each, excluding tax.
