Does anyone know what's in this magazine about Malice? I mean, it's from February 99, maybe there's a somewhat interesting interview? =P

I don't think you'll find Malice Mizer talking about Gackt that easily ^^'
I've got Viscious June 1999, which has a Mizer and Gackt interview, and the Mizer interview only seems to be about their fanclub event (with Kami). Gackt isn't mentioned.

But if they had the interview about Gackt before June they wouldn't talk about him again. The problem with February is that Gackt's interview (to which Malice's was perhaps a response) came out in February aswell... So yeah, nevermind.
But am I the only one actually trying to find this magazine? =/

@MorganIvy: You're not the only one who wants to find this, however our resources are limited since we, well, sort of don't live in japan to directly deal with these magazines.

Yeah I've posted the link to that... Nothing earlier than March. However what do the oldest entries there say? (The one Camuflagem mentioned)

What I mean is that a lot of people have magazines at home and don't know what the interviews are about. Maybe they have the magazine. Actually I asked on jrock_scans on LJ about the interview on the magazine with the popes photoshoot but the person who had it didn't have a scanner anymore =/

I hate to dredge this up, but I'm wondering if any progress has been made on finding where this interview came from.
After looking over the 2ch thread again, I saw mention of a 'January issue', but then talk promptly switched to m10m, so I have no idea which it went with.
However, I've been wondering, since it's been such trouble for us to pin down, do you think this interview came from a Ma Cherie newsletter??

ok, I've read about 3/4s of the posts here and I was really interested skimming over the original article in japanese. There was a lot of discussion I know about "how our ideas of the situation were shaped". I thought that was an interesting comment. Originally, I started as a Gackt fan, and to read Jihaku was really intriguing to me. By that time I had listened over some of MM's stuff and was fairly impressed by it. However, when I read over the break-up of MM in Jihaku even though I knew practically nothing about the members of MM, I was an incredibly new fan to their work and hadn't read a single interview, I did NOT believe Gackt. His thoughts were entirely too disjointed for my liking. One moment he's talking about being called into an office and then another moment he's talking about how the group just drifted apart without a real explanation or logical flow of events. Instead, before I knew anything about the group I had formed what seems to be a general consensus here: That Gackt, interested in pursuing his solo career wrote Le Ciel, creating a rift in the band for Merveilles, but then continued to become more distant. After he had distanced himself, he disappeared. In fact, for a long time in Japan nobody knew where he was, and certainly not MM. Many fans were very concerned about his whereabouts for a while. Then he re-surfaced some months later. I thought it was interesting in this article that Yu~ki, the guy who never says anything, all of a sudden has a lot to say. And in my opinion what he has to say is the most revealing. If anyone is going to lie, I don't think it's going to be Yu~ki, merely because he has NO reason whatsoever to lie. Sure, he's great friends with Kozi, but I mean, he doesn't have to back up Mana or anything and everything he says does. Not only that, but some of what Kami says too is very interesting. I thank those that helped to translate the article and especially those that provided this article. It was really interesting to read and just confirmed a lot of what I was thinking about the actual events surrounding Gackt's leaving MM.
