I don't know if anyone has made a thread about this. (I tried searching the forums and couldn't find it, so sorry if there's already a thread about this.)
I feel like a lot of old Japanese music videos have been taken down YouTube or they are "not available in your country". Especially from Victor Entertainment...
Does Japan have an issue with ripping music from YouTube?
...Is Japan posting their music videos else where...?
Even the official YouTube accounts don't have any music videos or very few. (e.i. BUCK-TICK)

Just wanted to know everybody else's thoughts on this and if you know anything about this issue.

I'm a bit sad that most of the music videos I used to see are gone and other people won't be able to discover them.

A few years ago, I uploaded all of VK band "Raphael"'s music videos in HD. I've had no problems with it, except that they were blocked in the US, Japan, and Brazil/Mexico, the rest of the world could see them.
But very recently, these blocks subsided, and they're available worldwide.

Why is that? Because JP labels know their bands already have popularity in Japan and America, so they know people their will buy the DVDs, which they prefer over YT.
Also on inactive/disbanded + old bands, I don't have any troubles at all, but recently, some Versailles PV's of me were blocked worldwide too.

I've learned to not upload any superpopular/active music projects after I've had actual copyright strikes on Versailles live videos, almost ending my channel. So I won't upload GACKT like I wanted before, just mainly MM and LAREINE, which I am fine with, since it's my top 2 favoiriot bands.
