What are the jrock covers you know of? English and Japanese.

Only ones I can think of off the top of my head are

The Nil cover album
D - Gekka no Yasou Kyoku (or however its spelled) from Malice Mizer
Abingdon Boys School - Dress
Some Gackt gundam covers
One Ok Rock - To Feel the Fire

There's a whole Luna Sea tribute album out there. With names like High and Mighty Color, LM.C, Mucc, abigndon boys school etc. ABS does a great job with Sweetest coma again in that album, btw.

Kozi famously played "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" at his lives, does that count? XD
There was that Blam Honey tribute/cover album too.

In general it doesn't seem like covers are too common. Not that this should be surprising since most VK bands are paying for their stage time XD Why play someone else's music on your own dime?

D's cover of that Malice Mizer song is fantastic.

I also like Kiyoharu's version of "Just one more kiss"

I don't think Jrock covers are so rare. Versailles played Au Revoir at their new year event a couple of years ago, plus some other covers I don't remember. Probably something by X Japan. Mana & Kozi played Bauhaus' cover of Telegram Sam at Deep Sanctuary I. Mana, Kozi and Yuki played a Rob zombie cover at Deep Sanctuary II last year. Moi dix Mois used to play Can't Take My Eyes Off You at Dis Inferno but I can't remember them playing it last year. And D's Gekka cover is from a Jrock tribute album:

There are also quite a few cover bands, but they tend to be session bands that don't release anything. For example, Juka was in a band that played D songs and Dalle plays 80s goth classics.

Oh, I just remembered: Seth sang Umiyuki by Jero at Dis Inferno and Hayato covered something by Seikima II.

Oh yeah, Dir en grey did a cover of THE STALIN song "An Illusion of Warsaw"

I think they did a better job then the original band but then again I'm not a huge fan of THE STALIN as it is. :P

Velvet Eden's 'Lonliness of Vampire' is apparently an Iron Maiden song (Fear of the Dark I think, not sure as I don't listen to Iron Maiden).

Amadeus covered the overture & parts of the title song from Phantom of the Opera, but they added some bits to make it different.

Hora's 'Immortal' is a reworking/cover of Velvet Eden 'Kumo-Onna', though not sure if that one counts as he wrote the original song.

The Candy Spooky Theater covered 'This Is Halloween' on their latest album.

Ever of Destiny covered a The Damned song on a compilation aswell.

Read about this a while back: V-Rock Disney

Haven't heard it yet, but I read that Plastic Tree was about one of the best on there. I'm really curious on how Sadie did . . . them + Nightmare Before Christmas = sounds like AWESOMESAUCE.

V-Rock Disney brought back another memory! At a Cristmas event in I think 2006 Kamijo sang Tonari no Totoro and Hitomi (then Kanoma) of Moran sang a metal version of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Apparently Hitomi was also in a cover band that played Disney songs.

My favourite is Buck Tick's cover of おまえの犬になる (omae no inu ni naru) by The Stalin.

I liked Nightmare's cover but I'm bias and just like Aladdin. Sadie's cover was pretty good. Everything else was embarrassing ::erm::
