thank you!
I think I like the song, as for the Pv this style really fit her more than the lolita style!

But i wonder, in the first video you see her first in a white outfit (didn't watch again the video) and you kinw of see it a second in the end of the song, is she wearing lolita? And is she supposed to dream?

In midnight ruins...
Having watched the PV a couple of times now, the song gets a bit repetitive and the PV is beginning to look a bit childish, especially the floating bonsai trees being magically transformed into dancers (?). Still, better than I had feared and KW looks cute in kimono.

Calendula Requiem and Lolitawork Libretto are both available on iTunes now if anyone's interested.

I forgot to mention this but I think that Lolita Libretto is an amazing album. Almost every song in there is single-quality, in my opinion. I feel that Mana really developed a style for her which doesn't sound like anything else in the jpop world.

Calendula Requiem ruined that, though. The title song is animeish and forgettable apart from the really nice bridge in the middle where the scale changes. The b-sides try to be the "goth" that Mana forged for her but end up sounding cheap and halloweenish, which is not her style at all.

Lolitawork Libretto was a great album. Specially because it was the first time that Kanon composed a song, and she did an amazing job (talking about celmisia, kuroneko and otome no march).

And about Calendula, I don't know. The style has changed again, and I think she just wrote the lyrics this time. I was waiting for something by her own, and now she is in another duet (with an Akiba-kei bassist lol).
But it's ok, if they do well. Kanon (boy) has a larger fanbase in Japan than Kanon (girl), so it's good for her career. They might even release albums. I'd love if she did something comparable to Shinshoku Dolce and Lolitawork.

While I was listening her last album i just wondered, is she doing some lives in japan?

Because I remember that she did stage performance 2 years ago i think, but didn't hear anything more after that.

I wonder because I really would like to know how she's performing!

Yes, and it sold out very fast (:

And about the new song... it's very... shocking.

First of all, Takuya (ex-AnCafe) will be taking part in the song.
Also, it's going to be the opening theme of the anime 「30歳の保健体育」 (Health and Physical Education for 30-Year-Olds), and the name is Koi no Doutei.

A brief preview of both anime and song:

Oh, and the anime is "a guide book teaching shy men around 30 how to date and have sex with women."

::gaku::

I can't believe Mana's song is going to appear in such a ::gaku:: show XD

I'm pretty sure Mana has nothing to do with this, it's just that Kanon guy and whoever else they brought along.

That said, I just want to add: HYAAARRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Seriously, I hate Japanese anime. Why is ALL of it for old perverts these days? What gives?

Oh, woops, I thought this was another Mana-Kanon collaboration. I guess I'm not so shocked anymore.

Don't worry, I'll get you the series DVD for your bday.

I think guys can definitely take notes from the show ::cam::

This is an overgeneralization, I'm not aiming to hurt or insult anyone, but I've gathered this from personal observation at anime conventions I've been to. A lot fo the people there are immature for their age, I believe it's because they don't want to grow up because they don't want to accept that they have to make tougher choices as adults and thus fall back on behavior and stuff like anime to remind them of an age when they were happy. ::kisaki:: They are usually still really nice people, but they annoy me a lot.

I feel like her decision to let her song be the theme song for this show is really strange. I mean, of all shows it had to be the one about old men learning how to have sex and stuff? Maybe it wasn't her decision, but still... this wouldn't be something I'd boast about on my resume.

The whole "moe" trend in anime lately is awful. Too much garbage like this:

You keep telling yourself that bro. ::cop::
